Happiness! Review

I've watched this anime about year ago and I will now be doing a review on it. Happiness is a magical girl, romance, and fantasy anime that was released in 2006 by Artland. It was based on a visual novel and manga. Happiness! is a very underrated series in my opinion and I think that it didn't get nearly enough attention as it should've. I liked it very much and I would like this anime to get way more attention than it does. Also, I would like more people to ship Yuma and Haruhi, the two main characters.

Summary
At a young age Kamizaka Haruhi was rescued by a young mage and longed to become a mage herself. She enrolls in a special school with regular and magic classes along with a few of her friends. They study magic together while searching for the boy that saved her years ago.

How it Could be Better
There's really no much that I can say that would make this anime better. It did have a good story with many great moments and I really enjoyed the ending as well. There is a cross dresser in the anime which either made it or broke it for some people. He/she was probably put in there more for comic relief, however the main story focuses on Yuma and Haruhi.

Yuma + Haruhi
In my Valentines Day post I did list Yuma and Haruhi as an underrated couple. I think these two deserve so much more attention than they got. These two are pretty cute and romantic together and truly care for each other a lot and it shows more with the series. They are both supportive and often help each other out in many ways and I believe these two deserve more ships. Please feel free to ship them!

My Conclusion
I would give this anime 4.5/5 stars or a 9/10 score. I really did like this anime as a magical girl and romance put together. The ending finished it off great. This anime is pretty similar to Nanatsuiro Drops, another magical girl romance with similar artwork and theming. I will also be looking forward to watching Nanatsuiro Drops too and I predict I might rate it a full 5 stars, but of course I won't know till I watch it.

Engaged to the Unidentified (Mikakunin de Shinkoukei) Review

So I wasn't really planning on watching this but I did anyway and I decided that it deserved a review. Engaged to the Unidentified (Mikanunin de Shinkoukei) is a 7 volume manga written by Cherry-Arai adapted into a 12-episode long anime series. It was kind of good but still not the best. So here we have it and this will probably be the first spoiler free review I've posted in a while too. Enjoy!

Summary
Kobeni Yonomori recieves a gift on her 16th birthday, a fiance and sister-in-law she never knew she had, an arrangement made by her late grandfather. Kobeni's fiance, Hakuya Mitsumine and his younger sister Mashiro move to the Yonomori household as well to deepen their relationship. The story will follow the changes they must make and reveal secrets from their past.

How it Could be Better
This show has its ups and downs as most shows have. While it is very cute and funny it tends to jump around and gets confusing at times. The one thing is that this show could use some more romantic moments.

Opening and Ending
The opening and ending to this are so catchy. I'm now addicted to it like many other anime openings and endings. There both pretty kawaii!

My Conclusion
I would give this show 3.5/5 stars or a 7/10 score. It is still better than Suzuka (The other 3.5 star show I reviewed) in my opinion but not the best. It is mostly a cute kawaii comedy but there's better ones out there. Doesn't really get into much romance though. If you like cute funny anime then this is for you. Love, Chunibyo, and other Delusions is a better show though and has the romantic moments in it as well.

Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle Review

Since I finished watching this recently, I will now do a review on Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles. Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles is a 28 volume manga written by CLAMP adapted into a 52 episode anime series split into 2 seasons with 1 movie and 5 OVAs. CLAMP are a group of popular manga artists and I've seen some of their other works like Kobato and Chobits, and will be watching some of more of their works too and will be comparing it. Overall I liked this anime and this is my first review that will get more than 4 stars (I'm saving the best for last). This series has very similar characters to Cardcaptor Sakura, a magical girl series done by CLAMP. Many of the TRC characters have the same names and look just like the CCS characters including our main characters, Sakura and Syaoran.  However, there are a few things this could improve on and I will be talking about the ending which I mentioned in a couple earlier posts so.

********************************SPOILER ALERT*********************************

Summary
Syaoran, an orphaned archeologist and Princess Sakura are childhood friends. One day Syaoran discovers Sakura with feathered wings which dispear and disperse all througout different dimensions along with Sakura's memory. Syaoran must now travel through different dimenions to gather the feathers in order to restore Sakura's memory and save her life. Joining them are Kurogane, an exiled ninja from Japan country who wishes to return to his world, Fay, a runaway magician, and a magical white shaped bun creature, Mokona.

How it Could Be Better
Tsubsa Reservoir Chronicles is a very good anime yet like many good anime it has its flaws. The story can be hard to follow at times and gets quite complicated. Other than that it's still a great interesting story.

Ending
The main thing I want to rant about is the ending so if you don't want to be spoiled. DON'T READ THIS! It's so freaking obvious Sakura and Syaoran are in love and should've at least kissed. It wasn't a tragic ending but still could've been better and I know CLAMP can make better endings than that from their other works I've watched. I along with many like Sakura and Syaoran couple and wish to see more works with this series in the future. With World Chronicles that recently came out I will really hope these two get married. I mean it's so obvious they're in love and they're meant for each other, Dear CLAMP they had better get married or I will go ballistic.

My Conclusion
I would give this anime a 4.5/5 stars or a 9/10 score. It's the best anime I've reviewed but there's still better ones out there and I will probably be reviewing ones I'd say are better. Mainly the ending is the one thing that would've made this series 5 stars but other than that it's a great anime. I hope to see more from this story in the future. I've seen CLAMP's other works, and I know they know how to make a great ending particularly in Cardcaptor Sakura, Chobits, and Kobato which have great endings to them. Like I said I want the ending to go out with a bang which in my Modern Yokais/Obakes series it will. Well that's all I have for now! Enjoy my other posts.

Obakes/Therianthropes (First Look)

So like I said, I will be writing a few stories of my own and I may need some of your opinions to know how I can make it better. I've decided to do it one story at a time since three different stories in one post will probably make it too long. I haven't really settled on a name for this one so either Obakes (Shapeshifting Yokai) or Therianthropes.

I was inspired by anime like Inuyasha and Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles, as well as films like X-Men, The Hunger Games, Divergent, Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind, and Princess Mononoke. This anime will cover topics of racism, discrimination, environmental issues, self-worth, as well as fate and free will. Similarly, X-Men itself covered issues of racism and discrimination as mutants were misunderstood beings. For example, Professor X has similar qualities to Martin Luther King Jr. and Magneto is similar to Malcolm X. Also, Hayao Miyazki's films like Princess Mononoke and Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind each covered topics of environmental issues. I've decided that lumping them into one will definitely create a great product, however I  need some of your ideas too.

I know there's a lot of characters but I plan for this to be a long, complex series with each character serving a different purpose and adding to the plot. There will be quite a few references to other anime here too. Also, at some points the characters will cross paths with those from Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles and Inuyasha. If this were a manga it would be 60 volumes long with 600 chapters, which I plan. If it were an anime it would run for 8 years and have 12 seasons, 300 episodes, 2 TV Films, and 3 Theatrical Films with the final theatrical film finishing off the series with a bang.

Lastly, keep in mind that I do not have access to a scanner so I can only upload what I have but will upload more pictures later. PS Also, There will be American jokes in here, DO NOT GET OFFENDED; I'm American myself and if you're gonna get butt-hurt then you need to get thicker skin. Feedback is wanted and ways to make it better. Constructive criticism is welcome however anyone who is bullying or harassing will be blocked as that is not wanted nor needed here.  Damn this is gonna be my longest post yet!

Summary
Transforming yokai have long been feared and hated throughout the world, though they are really just misunderstood. Yokais gain the powers and ability of their species, and different species usually are supposed to be enemies. Nevertheless, yokais have weaknesses and times where they can't use their powers. The cold-blooded ones are powerless in winter, while the warm-blooded are powerless on nights of the full moon, new moon, or during an eclipse depending on their species. When two blood-related yokai become close by bonding they feel each other's physical and emotional pain. Signs that someone is a transforming yokai are heterochromia (two different eye colors), unusually skin hair and eye colors, and looking young for their age.

Fahru Hachuu is a reptilian yokai, married to Ren Hachuu, an ordinary woman, with two boys. The Hachuu's home is burned down by a mob and the father Fahru's is killed. Four years later, 16 year old Annabelle "Angel" Ahrimo sets off to Japan for a short move. Secretly, she is a cat yokai, hiding inhuman qualities beneath her seemingly ordinary appearance. There she befriends 16 year old Takeshi Hachuu, the eldest of the Hachuu sons, out of pity. The two reveal their secrets and realize they're not alone.

A set of pages sacred book and possessed gems known as the Hearts of the Universe have been released throughout the world and evil demons led by Kyofusho are wanting to get them. The book and its contents also depict the fate of many and the gems are powerful enough to give one immortality and other powers. Yokai and demons have a sixth sense for finding the gems and pages. On the other hand, the demons are evil and willing to do anything to dominate the world. Demons have immortality to a degree, and will always remain powerful. Angel joins Takeshi in his quest to obtain the scrolls and gems to stop them from falling into the wrong hands. Joining them are Takeshi's brother, fellow reptilian Taro, and their childhood friend, Nina, an owl yokai. They must travel to collect the scrolls and gems, as well as defeat the demons, prove their innocence to the human world, protect the forest around their home, and find out what it truly means to be who they really are.

This probably sounds kind of cliche but that's what made Inuyasha, X-Men, and Sword Art Online quite popular. I would like some ideas of how to make this less cliche. Overall, I want it to have a similar style to Rumiko Takahashi, CLAMP, and Hayao Miyazaki.

Characters
There's a lot of characters and there will be more than those listed, but I plan for this to be a long series, hence why there's a lot of characters. I don't have pictures for all of them currently but they will be coming.

The two share a strong bond that neither could bare to see the other upset, hurt, or devastated to the point of tears. Takeshi and Taro have a rather positive sibling rivalry with one another. While they both try to see who does better they also don't want the other to lose and often encourage the other. Takeshi never looks down on Taro and has faith in him that he can achieve anything. The two have disagreements at times though Takeshi tries to remain the better person. Still make each other stronger as they work together. Lady Mingu is Yakunan Mingu's wife and an activist against the yokai. She and her husband have very much in common, both believing yokai don't belong on the world with humans.

International Justice for Humanity (IJH)/Kokusai Masayoshi Jinrui
The International Justice for Humanity are a humanity supremacist group founded by Yakunan Mingu. They believe yokai are evil and a threat to humans and must be eradicated from the earth. The IJH members were the ones who burned down the Hachuu's home and killed Fahru. The IJH often uses propaganda to promote their cause and rise to power. The IHJ are similar to the Friends of Humanity and Church of Humanity from X-Men as well as the KKK and Nazis.

Obake/Yokai Villains

Obake/Yokai Nationalists
The Obake/Yokai Nationalists are a socialist organization founded by Koyoki and Konran's parents. After both founders were killed Kyoki and Konran took over. The Obake/Yokai Nationalists believe humans and demons are the evil in the world and that their demise is eminent. They believe that yokai are the dominate species and are superior to humans and that humans must be killed in order to help the earth. They are very much like Magneto from X men, The Black Panthers, and Malcolm X

Kyoki
Gender: Female
Age: 18
Height: 5'5 (165 cm)
Weight: 115 lbs (52 kg)
Skin: Medium
Hair: Brown
Eyes: Hazel, Red (Bird Form)

Kyoki is a phoenix yokai and twin sister of Konran. Koyki takes over the Obake/Yokai Nationalists with Konran after their parents are killed. Kyoki's parents told her to bring the human race to their end, which Kyoki promised both of them before they died. She harbors much hatred towards the human race. In her phoenix, form Kyoki is able to produce fire and shoot it at enemies. Her name means insane.

Konran
Gender: Male
Age: 18
Height: 5'10" (178 cm)
Weight: 175 lbs (79 kg)
Skin: Tan
Hair: Brown
Eyes: Hazel, Red (Bird Form)

Konran is a phoenix yokai and twin brother of Kyoki. Konran co-leads the Obake/Nationalists with Kyoki after their parents are killed. Konran made a promise with Kyoki to their parents to bring the human race to their demise as they died. Konran despises humans. Like Kyoki, Konran is also able to produce fire and use it as his weapon. His name means deranged.

Hawkwing
Gender: Male
Age: 18
Height: 6'1" (188 cm)
Weight: 175 lbs (77 kg)
Skin: Fair
Hair: Light Brown
Eyes: Blue
Right Handed

Hawking is a Russian hawk yokai and former friend of Nina. The two initially harbored slight feelings for one another but faded when Hawkins chose to join the Obake/Yokai Nationalists. Hawking and Taro become rivals for Nina's affection but it changes to being enemies as the series goes on. The two harbor much hatred for one another which grows. Hawkins is cold, arrogant, rude, self-centered, desensitized and immune to the suffering of others. He shows little to no remorse for anyone and does not seem to care for others. Much of this is because of the suffering he endured at the hands of many humans which leads to his hatred for humans and joining the Obake/Yokai nationalists.

Soundtrack
I want the music to be a Studio Ghibli like soundtrack combined with the soundtracks from Inuyasha, Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles, and 3x3 Eyes. If anything Joe Hisaishi could compose some music that would be be a piece of art. I do like rock music and want some to be in the opening or ending. Particularly Breaking Benjamin, Linkin Park, Skillet, Three Days Grace, and Evanescence. Overall I think these songs would be great openings, endings or theme songs for both the anime and characters of course most of them will have to be Japanese though.

The songs "A Thousand Years" by Christina Perri and "Far Away" by Nickelback would be great for the couples just to name two. Then again there probably will be Japanese made background music too.

The only good thing about Twlight

Acting
If this were real I'd imagine these voice actors or live action if I feel they fit. I don't know many Japanese actors so I put most of the English voices here. Obviously I imagine Rie Kugimiya and Satoshi Hino as the tsundere and her love interest. If I was an actor though, I'd definitely take the lead role with my GF as Angel. I would like this to be co-narrated by Takeshi and Angel mostly with some from Taro and Nina.

Takeshi Hachuu- Scott Menville (also voiced Robin from Teen Titans)
Angel Ahrimo- Hynden Walch (also voice Starfire from Teen Titans)
Taro Hachuu- Greg Cipes (English) (voiced Beast Boy from Teen Titans), Satoshi Hino (Japanese)
Nina Moriko- Jessica Boone (Engish), Rie Kugimiya (Japanese)
Fahru Hachuu- Christian Bale
Ren Hachuu- Minnie Driver
Kyofusho- Aaron Eckhart
Myou- Sebastian Stan (Animated), Liam Hemsworth (Live Action)
Kumori- Anne Hathaway
Goriate- The Great Khali (a 7'1 wrestler, definitely great for the role)

Why I Choose to Write this.
The main reasons I chose to write this is because I want to put a topic of serious issues into a story. These include racism, discrimination, fate, free will, human relationships, environmental issues, and put some dystopian and post-apocalyptic theming into this. I will explain why I made Takeshi and Taro reptilians. Personally, I work with animals a lot and while I like furry creatures I've always been fascinated by reptiles. I believe snakes in particular get a really bad rap especially in the media and are the most misunderstood animals in the world. They help us by controlling rodent pests which eat crops and spread disease. Plus of the 3000 species, only 600 are venomous, 400 can kill people (including large constrictors), and only 250 are a real threat to people and that's just in poor places where shoes aren't worn and medical is poor like Africa and Southeast Asia. I work with reptiles a lot and own many myself.

Plus I like environmental, post apocalyptic, and dystopian films like Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind, Princess Mononoke, The Hunger Games, and Divergent. So that's why I will be putting this theme in there myself. Also, I am a Conservation and Ecology major myself. Human relationships are a common and well liked theme which will obviously be included. The characters face obstacles in their relationships but the obstacles don't bring them apart, they only make them stronger and bring them closer.

I also kind of want to break the American and foreign stereotypes in anime. Most Americans I've seen were portrayed as clueless, American accents, etc. Angel is kind, caring, and sweet. Once again, there will be American jokes in here too and don't get offended, I'm American. If you are going to get offended then you need to get thicker skin.

Another thing is that I'm tired of how the older brother in anime is always portrayed as the bad guy and looks down on the younger one. I'm offended because I'm the eldest sibling and I don't look down on my younger ones. So I made Takeshi the older, mature one, but is respectful and doesn't look down on his little brother, and Taro more aggressive, bad-tempered, and immature. Nevertheless the two have an interesting yet good relationship with one another and they are both helped by being by each other's side.

I know Takeshi and Taro both look like generic main characters which I like. I look like the generic main character and when people say they don't like them, I take offense. Also, I want Takeshi and Taro to both look more like Japanese boys. Angel and Nina get different hair and eye colors as one's American and one's part owl. Plus Angel looks like my dream girl and Takeshi looks like me. The main characters are also smaller than most of the villains to give a David and Goliath theme (No offense to big people). There will also be many flashbacks in this series too.

I want this anime to end on a great note because like my Endings Rant I think the ending is the most important part. I won't spoil the ending but I will make it leave everyone in awe. The characters will get the ending that I believe they deserve. Like I said, If this were an anime, the final theatrical film would finish off this series with a bang. Also, I want to cut the stupid perverted cliche scenes like falling in awkward positions but maybe have a few jokes. So under circumstances, exceptions, ifs, ands, or buts, NO FALLING INTO AWKWARD POSITIONS SCENES. I want this to be a great anime a good balance of action, fantasy, romance, emotional scenes, and a little comedy not some stupid fanservice, hentai, or ecchi. Teen Titans and Inuyasha balanced those out greatly which is why I really liked both of them.

I know this anime sounds very cliche like Inuyasha and Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles but their themes are popular and have had success but I will need your ideas on how to make this better. I would like constructive criticism and feedback on this so feel free to give your ideas or suggestions. I want to make this as great and awesome as possible! Depending on how I feel I may or may not take your suggestions. For the names I haven't settled on I'd like to hear your take of which I should choose. If you want to ship the couples like in my last post feel free to. With the couples of Takeshi + Angel and Taro + Nina I want them to be the greatest couples ever. Like the very opposite of Twilight because that sucked! I want them be be greater than couples like Jack + Rose (Titanic), Inuyasha + Kagome (Inuyasha), and Sakura + Syaoran (CCS, TRC) combined!

Nerawareta Gakuen (Psychic School Wars) Review

Again I said we'd look at my own anime/manga but I have to get this review out of the way first, so I apologize. Nerawareta Gakuen (Psychic School Wars)- is science fiction novel by Taku Mayumura adapted into a film released in 2012 directed by Ryosuke Nakamura. Nerawareta Gakuen and its art is very similar those works of Makoto Shinkai. It wasn't a bad movie but I wasn't the best either. If there weren't as many kinks in the movie I probably would've liked it as much as some of the better anime films I've seen. I will discuss the ending a little bit so.

*********************************SPOILER ALERT********************************

Summary
Kenji Seki has a daily routine that includes walking his dog at the beach, looking at his crush, Kahori Harukawa, and walking to school with his childhood friend and neighbor, Natsuki Suzuura. One day he stumbles across Ryouchi Kyougoku, a handsome new transfer student who claims to be psychic. Kenji's life has now changed as Kahori seems to fall for the new psychic and Natsuki seems troubled by problems of her own.

How it Could be Better
Though it wasn't bad it wasn't the best either. If it weren't for the kinks and hard to follow story I would proably be better maybe about as good as Kimi no na wa (Your Name). The problems are that the story is hard to follow at times and it is difficult to see what is actually happening. Natsuki can be slightly abusive at times towards Kenji, but that's probably expected to be from a tsundere type character. It wasn't a bad ending but I expected something better and that's probably what would've turned it around for this movie.

My Conclusion
I would give this anime 3.5/5 stars or a 7/10 score. It wasn't bad but it wasn't the best either. It has many flaws that it isn't nearly as good as its art and animation is. Overall, I thought it was an okay anime film. For other films with similar animation but are better I would recommend the ones directed by Makoto Shinkai like 5 Centimeters Per Second, The Place Promised in Our Early Days, and Kimi no na wa (Your Name).

H2O: Footprints in the Sand Review

Even though I said I'd post my ideas for my own anime/manga I still have 2 more review to post so here's one. H2O: Footprints in the Sand is a visual novel and manga adapted into a 12-episode anime. It has a mix of a physiological, drama romance mix and similar to Ef: A Fairy Tale of the Two and that anime I don't talk about (Myself; Yourself). While very similar to the latter it was actually better than I expected, though not as good as Ef: A Tale of Memories. I was reluctant to watch this at first but I did watch other sad anime like Clannad, Wolf Children, and Grave of the Fireflies before so if I survived that then I can survive this and actually enjoyed it. I will be talking about the ending a little bit so a slight...

*********************************SPOILER ALERT********************************

Summary
Takuma Hirose is blind and the cause is unknown. He is sent to a village to live with his uncle in order to heal his medical condition. He meets several girls in the village and three stand out more than the others. One of them Otoha temporarily heals his blindness and Hirose helps others. Another one of the girls, Hayami Kohinata is hated in the village and he tries to help her out. Many sad secrets unfold.

How it Could be Better
I liked this anime but there are a few points it can improve on. It is set up much like a harem but there is one girl who obviously stands out in the end. It is easy to follow but at some points the story and what is happening does get confusing. It was a happy ending but I kind of wanted a bigger heartfelt ending though. Still I liked the ending and it did satisfy me.

My Conclusion
I would give this anime 4/5 stars or a 8/10 score. It did good in my opinion and was better than Myself; Yourself but like all good shows it has its flaws. It was enjoyable and even held some comedy at some points but overall captured the elements of an emotional sad story. I would recommend this if you like sad love story type anime.

2017 Valentines Day Post + My Characters + Shippings

So since it is Valentines Day (or at least when I started this) I'm going to talk about the romantic parts of anime and the couples. I won't however rank them into a top 10 because that will probably be too hard for me to do, personally. I could make a list with 50-100 or even more couples and it still might not be enough. Anyway I will be talking about what makes a good couple whether in anime, cartoons, or just any movie or even real life. I will also be going over certain couples and what makes them popular or unpopular as well as talk about characters who should've been a couple. I do want to go through a list of underrate anime and their couples but not all will be in there. The final thing is we will have a sneak peak of the couples in my own manga/anime. I will write about the story and characters in my next few blogs. I want the couples from my stories to be better than anything and have the best love story possible (The very opposite of Twilight & 50 Shades of Grey). If you are interested in shipping these couples, feel free, leave a comment, message etc. Feedback is wanted and so is CONSTRUCTIVE Criticism. This will be somewhat based off my opinion and if yours differs that's fine. Also, I haven't watch some of these anime yet so I may take away/add some couples or even move them to a different category. Anyway it's Valentines Day I'm single and I'm 21 so there's only one thing to do other than write this blog! Oh yeah I may reveal some endings and complain about them too so.

*********************************SPOILER ALERT********************************

What Makes a Good Couple
Essentially what makes a good likable couple is their chemistry and how well they do together. Being in a relationship is about trust, keeping promises, and selflessness. When two people care for each other a lot and are willing go do anything for the other person, that makes them a good couple. Age is also something, I prefer couples and girls around the same age. I admit though it's cool when a younger guy gets an older girl. I'm not really going to explain it much more but that's how love works.

Kaito & Ichika (Waiting in the Summer/Ano Natsu de Matteru)
Unpopular (I want to get the worst out of the way first and save the best for last)
These couples are the ones with the worst love stories. I do not want to get into much detail with them because they are all horrible together.
Edward + Bella (Twilight)- Do I really need to explain? This couple is probably the worst pairing of all time and the move ruined Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson's careers. These two are so bad together and you can hear other's explanations. The only good thing about the Twilight series is Christina Perri's song A Thousand Years. That's the only good thing that came from this series.

Ana + Christian (50 Shades of Grey)- Do I really need to explain this one too? I mean this movie is just s*** and porn lumped together. They are about as bad as Edward & Bella. Just read about the movie and it will make you puke.
Jennifer + Scott Petkov- These two earn their spot on here for being two bullies who managed to find each other as well as taunt a dying 7 year old girl. Apparently Jennifer was unhappy about about not being invited to a party. When their 7 year old neighbor was dying from Huntington's Disease Jennifer posted pics on FaceBook with her next to the grim reaper and "when will she die". She also drove a car with a coffin in the back. Scott meanwhile defending his bitch wife's actions. All this over not being invited to a part, how f***ing stupid. These two are probably one of the ugliest pairings as well. What is Scott? A transgender, fat lesbian, fat dyke. And Jennifer, she looks like a f***ing blonde crackhead. My ballsack is better looking that her eyelids. I like blonde chicks but I hate her guts, she gives blondes a bad name. Appearances match their personalities pretty much.

Amy + Samy Bougzaglo (Amy's Baking Company)- From Kitchen Nightmares worst, it is crazy bitch Amy and old hag Samy from Amy's Baking Company. I don't even want to explain these two. I will say they are the two rudest people and Amy gives blondes a bad name looks like she could be Samy's daughter from how much older he is than her. I surprised they haven't been attacked and hunted down yet. Just watch the episode and you'll know what I mean.

School Days Pairings- I'm not even going to talk about these. I explained in my ending's rant and you can just read about them or watch School Days. Essentially I will only reccomend this if you like blood and gore.
List of Better Lovestories
  • Poop + Toilet Paper
  • My But + Couch/Chair
  • My Eyes + Computer Screen
  • Space Shuttle + Boeing 747
  • Plug + Outlet
  • Chuck Noland + Wilson (Castaway)
  • Jeremy Clarkson + Speed & Power
  • Richard Hammond + Oliver
  • A Fat Person + Food (No Offense)
  • A Squirrel + its Nuts
  • Donald Trump + His Wives
  • Donald Trump + Hillary Clinton
  • Donald Trump + Ivanka
  • Barack Obama + Hillary Clinton
  • Bill Clinton + Monica

Average/Mixed Reviews

These couples have mixed reviews, some like them, some hate them, some love them, and some think they are okay. Personally I have different opinions on each and most of these couples are pretty one sided with exceptions. Also this is partly based off my opinion and what I've seen and heard. If your's differs that's fine.
Kirito + Asuna (Sword Art Online)- Now these two have mixed reviews about them. Some people hate them, some people like them, some people love them, and some people think they're okay. I like them but they are not my favorite though. Asuna did start off being a neo-tsundere but did change pretty quickly as opposed to most tsunderes. The two starting bonding quite a bit and made their relationship known to the viewers even getting married in the game. These two show how much they need each other and Kirito goes to the ends of the earth to save Asuna as well as everyone else in the game. Asuna would probably return the favor as well. On this mixed review couples list, Kirito and Asuna are probably my favorite.
Naruto + Hinata (Naruto)- I haven't really watch the Naruto series so I don't know much. It seems there's 4 people as opposed to a 3 person love triangle which makes this more complicated (Ranma 1/2 is even more complicated than this). From what I've seen Hinata likes Naruto but Naruto only thinks of her as a friend and the two are childhood friends.
Naruto + Sakura (Naruto)- This gets pretty complicated Naruto likes Sakura but Sakura doesn't really like him back. There's times though were Sakura has feelings for Naruto.
Sasuke + Sakura (Naruto)- Like the other Naruto relationships this one seems one-sided as well. Sakura likes Sasuke but he only thinks of her as a friend. Overall, from the Naruto relationships it seems they are not official but some still like and hope for them to be together.
Tenma + Kenji + Oji (School Rumble)- I do not want to explain two separate couples so I'll explain them as a love triangle. Personally, I think School Rumble is pretty overrated and I don't really like the concept. Again, if you have a different opinion that's fine! Kenji likes Tenma but Tenma likes Oji but Oji doesn't return her feelings. It's pretty much one sided.
Sonic + Amy (Any Sonic Franchise)- This couple is pretty one-sided, although these two do have their moments. Amy is pretty much obsessed with Sonic and constantly chasing him showering him with affection. Sonic doesn't return her feelings of love but does not truly hate her. There have been times where Sonic rescues Amy and goes to the ends of the earth for her. I'm personally fine with this couple.
Sesshomaru + Rin (Inuyasha)- Other people pair this couple together but I really don't like them personally. While Rin looks up to Sesshomaru and Sesshomaru has shown to care for Rin, I think of them as more of a father-daughter or guardian-child relationship. I mean seriously Sesshomaru is way older than Rin which is kind of wrong. Okay chronologically Inuyasha is much older than Kagome, but physically they are the same age whereas physically Sesshomaru is a grown man while Rin is a child. Personally I think Rin would be better off with Kohaku but that's my opinion.
Rin + Kohaku (Inuyasha)- I like this couple better personally. Kohaku is much closer to Rin in age and the two have had moments where they showed to care and lookout for each other.
Saito + Louise (The Familiar of Zero/Zero no Tsukaima)- People have different opinions on this couple I think particularly because Louise is a tsundere. Louise is mean, rude, and abusive towards Saito at first but starts to show feelings for him. While Saito is not thrilled about the situation he becomes loyal to Louise and starts to care for her as well. When Saito dies then resurrects Louise does show how much she loves him. In the end, the two get married.
Ash + Serena (Pokemon X&Y)- Okay Ash's relationships in the Pokemon series get pretty complicated so I'm not really going to explain them much. I think Serena was probably the best match for Ash as she seemed to be the most romantically interested in him.
Ash + Dawn (Pokemon Diamond & Pearl)- With Ash and Dawn I think they mostly just thought of each other as friends and not so much a couple.
Ash + Other Pokemon Girls- I haven't really watched the other Pokemon series much so I don't know really how to explain this. It seems though that writers just keep taking one love interest out and throwing in another for Ash which is pretty annoying. I think they should just have Ash stick to one love interest.

Kirito & Asuna
Saito & Louise

Popular Couples
Now I could make this 50-100 couples it still wouldn't be enough so I'm just going to put down a few examples, mostly ones I like.
Banri + Koko (Golden Time)- Now there's different opinions on this couple but I put them in here because I like them and would have to say Golden Time is probably one of the best romance anime I've seen. These two have shown to love each other a great deal and they hit it off pretty early in the series. Of course this is not without its conflicts. Many people wanted Banri to end up with Linda but I like him being with Koko as a couple more. The lesson of this is that childhood friends don't always end up together. Though it's a cliche for anime and I would prefer it, I really like this one and would put Golden Time above Toradora and most other romance. In the end, it seems that Banri and Koko are now probably going to get married which is one of the best ways to end a series in my opinion.
Sakura + Syaoran (Cardcaptor Sakura)- Now these two are a very popular couple and I haven't met anyone who has hated this couple. At first the two started off rivals but became friends. Then Syaoran started to have feelings for Sakura but Sakura didn't notice. Syaoran eventually confesses and in the Final Movie, The Sealed Card, Sakura returns his confession declaring she loves him too. Now these two are probably the most adorable couple together. Sakura's cute, Syaoran's cute (according to fangirls) and together they're even cuter. I loved the way the movie ended and manga ended as well. The Clear Card Arc will also be coming out in 2018. I am looking forward to where their relationship goes next as the manga cover shows them holding hands.
Sakura + Syaoran (Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles)- Obviously I can't include CCS without also having these two. Sakura and Syaoran have known each other for a long time until Sakura loses her memories off Syaoran, and Syaoran must go on a quest to find them. Over the journey though Sakura seems to just fall in love with Syaoran all over again and they show how much they truly care for one another. The series itself shows how far Syaoran will go to help Sakura. On the other hand, I don't really like how it ended like not even a kiss? And I know CLAMP can make better endings than that. I say this, in any future manga/anime whether it's World Chronicles or something, these HAD BETTER GET MARRIED or I'll go ballistic. I mean seriously it's so frickin obvious they are in love and they better get married.
Kobato + Fujimoto (Kobato)- Another great CLAMP series. Like many of their series it starts off being kind of funny but becomes quite heartfelt towards the end. Though Fujimoto acted like he didn't really like Kobato that much he showed later how much he truly cares for her and Kobato feels the same. The ending was pretty great as well and it definitely packed a punch.
Usagi + Mamoru (Sailor Moon)- How can I not include these two? Sailor Moon is one of the most popular series so I had to include Usagi and Mamoru. Over the series these two have shown really how much they love and care about each other. Mamoru breaks up with Usagi to protect her, however after they got back together they've become an even stronger couple. In the end, Mamoru keeps his promise and does marry Usagi.
Shana + Yuji (Shakugan no Shana)- There's different opinions about these two but mostly positive. Shana and Yuji are probably one of my favorite Tsundere couples as they've shown to care about each other. Even though Shana acted like she didn't like Yuji at first, she eventually came to terms with her feelings. As a tsundere, Shana probably was the anime character who changed the most from the beginning of the series to the end. There's different opinions about the way the anime ended but I like it. Shana and Yuji are together and happy with their lives.
Ryuuji + Taiga (Toradora)- Another tsundere pairing. Ryuuji likes Taiga's friend and Taiga likes Ryuuji's friend so they work to help each other out. However, things don't always go according to plan and Ryuuji and Taiga end up falling in love with each other. I didn't really like the final scene with Taiga headbutting Ryuuji, I mean that's how you're going to end it? Really, not with a kiss, proposal, or wedding? Well they do become a couple.
Mitsuki + Takuto (Full Moon wo Sagashite/Searching for the Full Moon)- One of the sadder anime series but one that does end on a good note and packs quite an emotional punch, I haven't watched it yet so I can't really explain much. Takuto along with Meroko decide to help Mitsuki achieve her dreams of being a singer. However, many events happen with Mitsuki's childhood friend Eichi dies and Mitsuki eventually realizes her own feelings for Takuto.
Yuuta + Rikka (Love, Chunibyo, & other Delusions/Chunibyo demo Koi ga Shitai)- Even though this series looks quite cute, kawaii, and moe at first, it actually puts quite an emotional hit on you. Yuuta had delusions which made his middle school life embarrassing. He chooses to attend high school where no one knows him but unfortunately Rikka, who suffers from delusions, comes in and knows about his past. However, they figure out the tragic and sad reasons behind their delusions and fall in love. Yuuta and Rikka start caring for each other more and more and the end will definitely show how much Yuuta cares for and loves Rikka and how Rikka feels the same back.
Yusuke + Keiko (YuYu Hakusho)- Yu Yu Hakusho, the Dragon Ball Z of the 1990s. However, YYH has a much better love story than DBZ. Yusuke and Keiko have been childhood friends and known each other for a while. Keiko does get mad at Yusuke but only because she cares about him. Keiko becomes supportive of Yusuke and Yusuke probably returns it.
Chihiro + Haku (Spirited Away)- One of 3 Miyazaki Studio Ghibli couples I have in this post. Chihiro is lost and Haku comes to help her. Because he's helped her out so much Chihiro eventually returns the favor and saves Haku's life. The two do many great things for one another and show how much they care for each other. Though not official it seems they have fallen in love.
Howl + Sophie (Howl's Moving Castle)- Howl and Sophie seem to be the most popular Studio Ghibli couple. Sophie goes to Howl for help and the two start to have feelings for one another. These two do become official in the end as they are living together.
Inuyasha + Kagome (Inuyasha)- Even though these two have mixed reviews I will say Inuyasha and Kagome are pretty popular. Though they do not get along at first, things change. Inuyasha shows more sympathy and starts to care about the lives of others at more and more and Kagome starts caring for Inuyasha more. The two eventually help each other out through the hardships and every obstacle only makes them stronger. People do have conflicting ideas between Kagome and Kikyo. While I support Inuyasha and Kagome, I want to point out most of the main characters wouldn't be alive if it weren't for Kikyo.
Sango + Miroku (Inuyasha)- The other pairing from the Inuyasha series to get married. Of course they don't like each other a great deal at first because Miroku is a pervert and a flirt. They begin to show they care about each other with the challenges they face.
Keiichi + Belldandy (Ah My Goddess!/Ah! Megami Sama)- An anime that gives me false hope. Keiichi who gets taken advantage of calls the wrong number and it's a goddess hotline. Belldandy appears and is willing to do anything for him so he wishes for her to be by his side. Keiichi and Belldandy show to care about each other more and more and fall in love and regardless of any flaws (ex. Keiichi's 5'3" (160 cm) height etc.). I like this anime as it portrays a short, shy loser guy (kind of me) who gets a girlfriend who's beautiful inside and out.
Risa + Otani (Lovely Complex/Love Com)- Another one for the shortie boys and tall girls out there. Risa and Otani have both faced problems because of their height. At 5'8" (172 cm), Risa is 6" (15 cm) taller than the average Japanese woman (5'2"/158 cm). At 5'1" (155 cm), Otani is 7" (18 cm) shorter than the average Japanese man (5'8"/172 cm). What I like about these two is they break a norm and don't care what other's think. Maybe some of you should do the same thing because romance is about making each other happy and love, not about physical qualities, especially those you can't control or change.
Sawako + Kazeya (Kimi ni Todoke/From Me to You)- A good anime with a good couple. Sawako is shy and awkward while Kazeya is popular and attractive. Somehow these two make things work though. I really wish there were more anime with shy boys though as I am one.
Tomoya + Nagisa (Clannad/Clannad Afterstory)- One of the saddest series out there. Tomoya has a harsh life with his mother dead and father an alcoholic, he seems to have given up. However he befriends Nagisa who suffers from numerous health problems. These two share many feelings for each other and care for each other so much.

Keiichi & Belldandy
Sakura & Syaoran
Usagi & Mamoru
Inuyasha & Kagome

Characters Who Should've been "Official" Couples
In my opinion these characters should've been couples or at least officially. I really didn't like the way most of these anime ended which is a big reason. Some anime leave the romance unresolved but the manga runs longer and usually resolves the romantic situations so I may or may not include them depending on how I feel.
Ahiru + Fakir (Princess Tutu)- I understand the concept of fate and free will but really Ahiru and Fakir totally deserved to be together as a couple more than anything. I get they are still friends, but i think they deserved a happy romantic ending way more than Mytho and Rue did.
Kenchi + Lashara (Tenchi Muyo: War on Geminar/Isekai no Seikishi Monogatari)- I wasn't really into the Tenchi Muyo series as it leaves the harem situation unresolved. In this spinoff we find Kenchi, Tenchi's brother of half brother, I can't remember in a harem situation. I think this series would've been much better if he ended up with Princess Lashara and it was hinted that she liked him. Okay the main reason why I wanted them as a couple is because Kenchi looks like me and I'd love to have a girlfriend with the looks of Lashara.
Ricca + Kiyotaka (Da Capo III)- I haven't watched this series yet so I may move these two to a different category after I do. I feel Ricca is honestly the best fit for Kiyotaka and would like them to become an official couple. Okay, Kiyotaka looks like me and Ricca looks like a girl I can only dream about having as a girlfriend. I want them to be a couple.
Makoto + Minamo (Wind: A Breath of Heart)- Minori, the same company that developoed Ef: A Fairy Tale of the Two developed, this one as well. This is a series that had so much potential to be great, yet the writers f***ed it up with the ending. I mean it leaves off on a cliffhanger which really pisses me off. The art is great and so is the feels and stuff but the ending is what ruined this series and I really wish it resolved the relationship between Makoto and Minamo and had them become an official couple.
Tooru + Julie (Absolute Duo)- While I enjoyed and liked this romance, harem, fantasy anime, I think Julie and Tooru had something going on. Of all the love interests I think Julie would've been the best match for Tooru. It was shown several times that Julie liked Tooru and he likely felt the same way back. I just think they should've taken their relationship to the next level.
Takaaki + Konomi (To Heart 2)- I haven't watched this series yet so I may move these two to a different category once I do. This is another harem anime and like always I think Konomi was the best match for Takaaki. I like the layout of the series with Konomi and her childhood friend, a shy boy named Takaaki. I feel though that they should be a couple as Konomi has harbored feelings for Takaaki since they were young and Konomi is one of the few girls Takaaki is willing to talk to. It's cute how Konomi clings to Takaaki and is always by his side pretty much.
Sheeta + Pazu (Castle in the Sky)- The 3rd Studio Ghibli film in this post. I think it was pretty obvious Sheeta and Pazu were in love with each other. Pazu is goes to the ends of the earth for Sheeta and Sheeta cares deeply about Pazu so I feel they should've shown some sign they're an official couple like a kiss or something. Other than that, that's my only complaint of this film.
Nadja with Someone (Ashita no Nadja)- I was kind of disappointing that Nadja didn't end up with anyone. I feel she should've I mean she's so beautiful, kind, and gentle she would've made a great partner for some lucky guy.
Unresolved Harems- Again I hate it when harem series finish off unresolved. The harem's I have liked, there was one love interest who stood out and was obviously the one best for the main character. However, many of these harems finish off unresolved with no sign of who will end up with the main character which I pretty much don't like. I feel many harem would be better if the main character ending up with the one who was best for them and it was obvious in the end.

Sheeta & Pazu

Tooru & Julie
Takaaki & Konomi

Underrated Couples
Now there's many couples I believe are underrated and I could make this list about 100 couples long and it still wouldn't be enough. So I'm just going to throw out the ones I like the most.
Yuu + Hiroshi (Mizuiro Jidai)- This is a classic coming of age anime. Here we have childhood friends Yuu and Hiroshi who are now middle school students. Yuu harbors feelings for Hiroshi and Horoshi returns them. These two do have several moments throughout the series dealing with the issues of growing up and their feelings and they still remain together. I think this series didn't get as much recognition as it should have. Yuu and Hiroshi should also have more recognition as couple too (more ships for these two).
Yuma + Haruhi (Happiness!)- Another underrated series in my opinion. So here we have a magical fantasy romance series with main characters Yuma and Haruhi. It become pretty clear in the beginning these two had feelings and they did become an official couple as well with a good end to the series. I feeling they are an underrated couple along with the series and more people should ship them.
Yoshichika + Athena (Luck & Logic)- This came out in 2016 so I'll have to wait to see how people like them. I think Yoshichika and Athena are quite a romantic couple in this futuristic mecha anime. It's pretty obvious Athena has feelings Yoshichika and he returns her feelings.
Himeko + Daichi (Hime-Chan no Ribbon/Hime Chan's Ribbon)- A classic magical girl series that I feel is quite underrated. Himeko at first likes a much older Hasekura-senpai, but shifts towards Daichi instead, much like Sakura Kinomoto (CCS) and other young anime girls. Additionally Daichi's friend, Hikaru also serves as a friend/rival for Daichi's affections. I feel these two are an underrated couple who should recieve more recognition.
Meirin + Asuka (Ask Dr Rin!/Dr Rin ni Kiitemite!)- A classic romantic magical girls series. Meirin as a crush and harbors feelings for Asuka. While it seems unrequited at first, Asuka begins to like her back later in the series. I feel Meirin and Asuka deserve more recognition as a couple and should have more shippings.
Junichi + Nemu (Da Capo)- This is a romantic harem anime that was developed by Circus. I think this is an underrated series as each love interest seems like they could be the perfect match for Junichi. However, Nemu is the one who does end up with him at the end of the series. Normally I don't like incest relationships but Nemu is adopted and not blood-related to Junichi and in Japan the law only applies to blood-related immediate family members, meaning you can marry an adopted sibling or cousin. To them it would seem pretty normal and marrying cousins was normal in the early 1900s and before in the US and most of the world too.
Kazuto + Narue (The World of Narue/Narue no Sekai)- I feel this romance series is pretty underrated. Kazuto and Narue immediately hit it off with each other and remained together throughout the series. It's not as romantic as some of the other series here but I feel they don't get quite the recognition they deserve.
Tomomi + Yuya (Miracle Girls)- This is a classic magical girl series that served as a gateway to other magical girl but is very underrated. Tomomi and Mikage are identical twins with differing passions and secret powers each of them also get boyfriends. I like the relationship between Tomomi and Yuya and feel they deserve recognition
Mikage + Hideaki (Miracle Girls)- Pretty much the same as above as these two are also quite a couple too. They deserve more recognition as well.
Naoki + Honami (Hani Hani: Operation Sanctuary/Tsuki wa Hidahi ni Hi was Nishi ni)- This harem romance anime actually has a pretty good ending. Naoki and Honami get married which is probably one of the best case ending senarios in my opinion. I mean they are childhood friends and Honami also takes care of Naoki too. I think she pretty much deserves to be with him the most out of all the love interests in this series. Even though Mikoto was much of the anime's focus, she thought of Naoki as brother and Naoki only thought of her as a sister.
Haruhiko + Riko (Gift: Eternal Rainbow)- An underrated harem romance series. Haruhiko and Riko both share moments throughout the series and it is shown how they do love each other. Like I mentioned above, I'm not into incest relationships but these two aren't blood-related. Riko moved in with Haruhiko but had to move out when their father couldn't support them so she's only his sister in name. Both the main love interests Riko and Kirino have are childhood friends with Haruhiko as well. I feel these two deserve more fame and it will make sense why they end up together if you watch the series.
Mamoru + Ayako (Venus to Mamoru/Mamoru Kun ni Megami no Shokufuko!)- I haven't watched this series yet but I'm looking forward to it. While most people don't like Mamoru as he looks 10 and is 16 and think it's pathetic. I like it because Mamoru who's a very short boy manages to get with a Ayako a beautiful popular girl who's older than him. I mean he is really one lucky guy.
Tatsuya + Feena (Brighter than the Dawning Blue/Yoake Mae yori Ruriiro na: Crescent Love)- This is an underrated series between two star-crossed lovers and has an ending to match as well. Even though it seems cliche I like it because it shows how far Tatsuya and Feena will go for each other and their love. This also includes possibly the best case scenario for the ending too.
Kenji + Nanami (Lamune)- This is a very underrated slice of life romance series in my opinion. Kenji and Nanami are childhood friends but are both too shy to make advancements in their relationship. However, they only get closer with everything they go through and it becomes obvious they love each other romantically. The ending also packs quite a punch showing how Nanami is lost without Kenji but he comes through and the two still continue their relationship with one another.
Ryuji + Rose (Dragon Crisis)- A underrated fantasy romance series. Rose is pretty much attached and clings to Ryuji making it pretty obvious she likes him. Some don't like Rose but I like her and think she's adorable. Ryuji also goes to great lengths for Rose as well. Okay I admit I like it because Ryuji looks like me and you probably know the rest. Oh Rie Kugimiya (the tsundere queen) who voiced Taiga in Toradora also voices Rose, and the main character's name is also Ryuji.

Yuu & Hiroshi

Junich & Nemu
Mamoru & Ayako

My Animes
I will give summaries and characters in my next blog post. There's still some things I haven't settled on and need to work out. With many of these things I want to know what I should do. I'm only uploading avatars form Rinmaru games for now as I haven't had much time to draw and don't have access to a scanner either. I don't have pics for all of them but will be coming including drawings once I get more time and a scanner. Other than that here are the couples. If you are interested in shipping these couples, feel free, leave a comment, message etc.

Obakes/Therianthropes-I haven't really settled on a name so I want to hear your opinions. So this anime will be like Inuyasha, Tsubasa, and X-Men. It will cover topics of racism, discrimination, environmenal issues, self, worth, fate, and free will. This series will have a lot of characters but I plan for it to be a long series as well.

Official Couples- If you ship these two I guarantee you they will sail and will be unsinkable. Well the first two will, Fahru dies and both of Mr. and Mrs. Moriko die so I'm not sure if you'd say that ship sank. On the other hand I intend for Takeshi + Angel and Taro + Nina to be great couples like the exact opposite of Twilight and 50 Shades of Grey. I want them to be better than all the popular ones I listed combined!
  • Takeshi Hachuu + Angel Ahrimo- Takeshi is the main character so these two are the main couple. Angel is an 16 year old American born girl who's secretly half-cat (werecat, yokai) who is living in Japan because of her father's work. Takashi is a 16 year old reptilian/snake yokai Japanese boy. Angel befriends Takeshi as she feels sympathy with him being alone. The two begin to share each other's secrets and things take off from their, but cats and reptiles are supposed to be enemies. Takeshi and Angel care for each other more and more as the series goes on and they love each other very much. Both come to terms with how to accept their identies and fate. Takeshi had suffered the death of his father and years of discrimination while Angel always thought she was the only one. They also go to great lengths for one another. Angel is willing to stand up for Takeshi and is very supportive of him. Takeshi is not afraid to protect Angel or anyone else he loves even if it means losing his own life. For Takeshi, he comes to terms and realizes it's the first time since his father's death that he hasn't felt sad, lonely, or depressed and is happy and stronger with Angel by his side. With every challenge Takeshi and Angel only get stronger together. Takeshi is striving to fulfill his father's dying wish and Angel is very willing to help him.
    Takeshi Hachuu
    Annabelle "Angel" Ahrimo
  • Taro Hachuu + Nina Moriko- Taro is the younger 14 year old brother of Takeshi and is also a reptilian/snake yokai. Nina is a 14 year old owl yokai of Japanese and Russian mix and Taro's childhood friend. They argue a lot at first with Nina being a tsundere (do you really expect two 14 year olds to be mature) but eventually realize their true feelings. Reptilians and owls are supposed to be enemies but Taro and Nina stay allies and make it work. At first they try to hide their feelings but realize how much they really mean to each other and need each other. Nina has suffered the loss of both her parents and Taro suffered through the death of his father. Both want to fulfill what their parents wishes and realize that they are no longer sad, lonely, or depressed, and are happy and stronger by each other's side. They face many obstacles in their relationship but always come out stronger than before.
    Nina Moriko
    Taro Hachuu
  • Ren Hachuu + Fahru Hachuu- The parents of Takeshi and Taro. Fahru is a reptilian/snake yoaki, while Ren is an ordinary human. In a way these two are kind of star-crossed lovers. Their parents each accepted each other but society didn't. The fact that a reptilian and ordinary human are married was more reason they were targeted. Nevertheless they didn't care what others thought. They were deeply in love with each other and went to great lengths for one another and they started a family which made them stronger. Fahru was willing to risk anything for his family and finally lost his life protecting those he loved the most. Ren follows her promise and Fahru's wish and continues to raise her two boys as a single mother well.
    Fahru Hachuu
    Ren Hachuu
  • Mrs Moriko + Mr Moriko- The parents of Nina (I haven't figured out names and I might just leave them unnamed). Mr Moriko is a ordinary Japanese man but also a war veteran as well. Mrs Morikos is an owl yokai who's Russian but meets Mr Moriko as an exchange student in Japan. The two fall in love and their families also accept the other as well. Nina is born and she is the world to them both. They remain faithful to one another to the day of their deaths.
    Mr. Moriko
    Mrs. Moriko
Unoffical Couples (SPOILER): These couples are not going to become official. Many are rivals/love triangles and these ships will either not sail or they will sink.
  • Masami Kobayashi + Takeshi Hachuu- Masami is Takeshi and Taro's 15 year old cousin who's also a childhood friend and friend/rival to Angel. Masami is an ordinary human being on Ren's side of the family but is also quite a warrior and fighter herself, being skilled with weapons and martial arts. Masami is willing to help the yokai gain freedom and lessen the misunderstandings of them. Initially she seems like a flirt but Masami secretly harbor's for Takeshi though they go un-confessed and unrequited. Takeshi only thinks of her as a friend and family. Masami's willing to protect and defend him and his allies to the end.
    Masami Kobayashi

    Takeshi Hachuu
  • Masami Kobayashi + Taro Hachuu- Masami is a childhood friend of Taro and friend/rival to Nina. Masami harbors strong feelings for Taro which Taro does return. The two are very willing to protect and defend each other as well as their allies. Masami becomes closer to Taro as the series goes on and Taro is split between Masami and Nina.
    Masami Kobayashi

    Taro Hachuu
  • Chad + Angel- Chad is a exchange student from England who's secretly a werewolf. He's a typical pretty boy being tall, muscular, athletic fit, nice blonde hair and blue eyes playing soccer, baseball, and basketball. Chad likes Angel but mostly for her looks and popularity. Angel only thinks of him as a friend and doesn't return his advances. Chad is still also thinking about his girlfriend back home who he eventually returns to. He helps Angel and her allies a few times and they return the favor.
    Chad Callahan

    Annabelle "Angel" Ahrimo
  • Hawkwing + Nina- Hawkwing is an old ally of Nina who she secretly had a crush on. Yet he betrays her and becomes a villain. Hawkwing feels a connection to Nina and still shows interest but he looks down on Taro and sees him as being lower than him.
    Hawkwing

    Nina Moriko
Villain Couples: I'm only listing one villain couple as I haven't worked out the relationships between the villains.
  • Kyofusho + Kumori- The main villain Kyofusho, which means phobia. Kumori is his wife. Kumori is just as evil also joining her husband in his plans. They are loyal to one another and they evan have a son and other family members who are evil as well.
    Kyofusho

    Kumori
Darkness in Our Hearts- I have used sad emotional romantic series like Clannad, Hanbun no Tsuki ga Nobura Sora, H2O Footprints in the Sand, and Myself; Yourself as inspiration. I haven't worked this one out completely so this list is incomplete. Nadoka Nasu is an 18 year old moving back to her home town with her dad where he'll work as a professor at a local college while she attends there. Things however have changed for worse. Her childhood friend, Savo Kamio a short shy 16 year old boy, is now drug addicted, distanced from his mother, and his health is deteriorating from the healthy happy boy she remembers. Additionally, both Nadoka and Savio and their families have suffered through tragedies and setbacks and both are hiding dark secrets from their pasts. Worse still, Savo's poor health means he may not live much longer.

Couples
  • Savo + Nadoka- The stories main couple and childhood friends. Savo is a short shy boy who's passionate about the guitar and sports, but also the target of bullying due to his small size and has few friends. Savo's father has died and he and is mom have moved several times because she could not hold down a job. Savo's mom became an alcoholic. All this eventually makes Savo depressed and eventually drives him to the point of suicide. Nadoka is 2 years older than him and aspires to be a musician. She wants to gain her independence but is reluctant to move out away from her dad, as she's taken care of him and has been his only companion for 11 years since her parents divorced. Both these characters have suffered through some pretty bad events in their lives and they often come to each other for comfort and care deeply about one another. Nadoka helps Savo get over his shyness and Savo encourages Nadoka to do things that make her happy. Savo has also hidden a dark secret but eventually opens up to Nadoka who reveals her secret. With Savo's mental health deteriorating, Nadoka refuses to leave his side and helps him recover as she wants him to be happy for the rest of his life. Both help each other turn their lives around and also help other people in similar situations as well.
    Savo Kamio

    Nadoka Nasu
  • Kimiko Hatsuo + Akio Ai- Akio is Savo's best friend, 18-years old tall, athletic, and fit. He's the comedy relief character portrayed as big and goofy, but he often uses this to cover his pain. Kimiko Hatsuo is tall and athletic who's father died while on the job. She hasn't been the same since. Like many couples on this list, Akio and Kimiko comfort each other and often help each other get through their pain.
TwinsxTwins- I really haven't worked this one out much but it will be between a pair of shy fraternal twins (boy and girl) who befriend another pair of fraternal twins (also boy and girl). Though they aren't exactly the perfect matches at first, they now will have someone outside their family to hang out with and talk to. Additionally they may meet possible new sole mates.
