Dragon Crisis! Review

I finally, finished Dragon Crisis! so as usual I will now review it! Dragon Crisis! started as a 13-volume light novel written by Kaya Kizaki from 2007 to 2011. In 2011 it was made into a 12-episode anime from Studio Deen. Dragon Crisis! is a action, magic, fantasy, romantic comedy anime. I freaking loved Dragon Crisis! and it is one of the most underrated anime I have reviewed. I really enjoyed each episode a lot and like most of my favorite anime the last episode was the best. Summary
In the world, there are those who hunt down rare and powerful items known as Lost Precious, including Ryuji Kisaragi's own parents and cousin, Eriko, who's been studying abroad for the last few years. But when Eriko suddenly returns, Ryuji finds himself in the middle of the action when she drags him along to intercept a special treasure from the nefarious Fang organization. What's more, the duo soon discovers that this Lost Precious isn't a jewel or a trinket, it's a rare dragon girl who instantly bonds with Ryuji! Now, Ryuji and Eriko must help teach this dragon-who they name Rose-about the world, while keeping her safe and meeting other new friends and dragons along the way.

My Thoughts
I freaking loved this anime and it is so underrated. The only thing I can say that would've made this better is I wish it was a bit longer, but it was great overall. The artwork is fantastic. The characters a great as well and each one is unique and interesting in their own way. I especially love our two main characters, Ryuji and Rose. Rie Kugimiya (Queen of tsundere) who voiced Taiga in Toradora also voices, Rose, and the main character's name is also Ryuji. While some people don't like Rose, I don't care what they think. Rose is one of the cutest, most adorable, kawaii, moe characters I've had the pleasure to watch and I think she's pretty lovable.

We also have an interesting plot that made me want to keep coming back and watching. It was exciting and I kept wanting more every time I watched. The plot kept things interesting and new where we'd get a new character almost every episode. The Ed to Dragon Crisis! really reminds me of many of the endings to Mahoromatic. Unfortunately I can't find an actual one with sound.

Romance Aspect (**********!SPOILER ALERT!**********)
What I loved most about Dragon Crisis! was the romance. Other girls show interest in Ryuji but it is very clear that Rose is the favorite and the one who will end up with Ryuji. Ryuji and Rose hit it off in the first episode. Rose immediately loves Ryuji and is attached to him from day one. Ryuji returns his feelings for Rose realizing how much she means to him and goes to great lengths for Rose. Okay I admit, Ryuji looks like me and I'd love to have a girlfriend like Rose. The ending to Dragon Crisis! was great and really left me with a hopeful satisfied feeling that you should get with an ending. I mentioned Dragon Crisis! in my Endings Rant as a great ending. Ryuji declares he loves Rose and then the two kiss to perform the lover's engage and defeat Onyx. As they return to school, Ryuji and Rose hold each other's hands promising to stay by each other's side. I mentioned Ryuji and Rose in my 2017 and 2019 Valentines Day posts as a underrated couple. These two deserve so much more attention as a couple so please ship them if you like them!

My Conclusion
I would give Dragon Crisis! 3.5/5 stars it was pretty good! NO, of course I'm giving it 5/5 stars or a 10/10 score! I would even give it 30/5 stars if I could! This was a fantastic anime that I absolutely loved! I really looked forward to watching each episode and while I wished it could've been longer, I still loved it as it was. I would strongly recommend Dragon Crisis! for anyone who likes fantasy, action, or romance anime.

Mamoru-kun ni Megami no Shukufuku wo! (Venus to Mamoru!) Review

As you may know I previously reviewed Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu and mentioned I would watch and review Mamoru-kun ni Megmai no Shukufuku wo! or Venus to Mamoru in English. Well I just finished watching it so I will now review it! Venus to Mamoru started as a 16-volume, 2003, light novel written by Hiroki Iwata. In 2006, it was turned into a 24-episode anime series by Zexcs. Venus to Mamoru is a romantic comedy anime and while not classified as one, it has lots of magic in it as well. Venus to Mamoru is such a great underrated romantic comedy anime that should get more attention.

Summary
"Beatrice" is a mysterious power that responds to people's will and realize them. Tokyo Beatrice University Attached High School is the only school that teaches Beatrice called "magic appears in the real world."
Yoshimura Mamoru is a high school boy who was saved by Beatrice miraculously when he was a child. At the first day of the school, he meets a girl under the cherry trees on his way to the school. She orders him to go out with her.
Her name is Takasu Ayako. She is in the second grade and one year older than him. She is a director of student committee of discipline. Also, she is a granddaughter of a big-name politician, very beautiful, and a genius Beatrician who can even shoot a satellite down. She is called Witch Beatrice or Death Angel in Beatrice, but in fact, she is a pure-hearted girl.

My Thoughts
I really loved and enjoyed Venus to Mamoru and I believe it deserves more attention. The artwork is pretty good. The characters were very interesting, lovable, and fun to watch and like most anime our two main characters, Mamoru and Ayako, made this anime great. Venus to Mamoru was a very enjoyable anime and I really looked forward to watching the next episode. There were some 'awkward moments' but it didn't ruin the anime too much for me. On the other hand there were plenty of really good romance scenes in this anime. Anyone looking for a more lighthearted romantic comedy would really enjoy this. While I would really like to see more episodes but I was satisfied with the 24 episodes in the anime.

Romance Aspect
What's a romantic comedy without couples? I love the romance in this anime. We have Mamoru, a new student at the school, who is asked out by Ayako, a beautiful, popular girl at the top of her class. Some people don't like the way Mamoru looks, because he's short, but I don't mind it! (I probably sympathize with him because while I'm not as short as him, I'm not the tallest guy out there either). Besides if you hate it, that's called heightism! If you have read my other posts, I do the short guy, taller girl couples, couples with an older girl and younger boy, and couples with a popular girl and a not as popular boy. Mamoru and Ayako are all of those which is more reason why I love Venus to Mamoru. He's really one lucky guy! Mamoru and Ayako spend more time together and become boyfriend and girlfriend pretty early in the anime and share plenty of good moments throughout the story. I mentioned Mamoru and Ayako in my 2017 and recent 2019 Valentines Day Posts as an underrated couple who deserve more attention. If you agree with me, feel free to ship them!

My Conclusion
I would give Mamoru-kun ni Megmai no Shukufuku wo! 5/5 stars or a 10/10 score. I really loved and enjoyed this anime and it is so underrated and deserves so much more attention. I would recommend Venus to Mamoru for anyone who's a fan of magic, or romantic comedy anime or looking for a more lighthearted romance to watch.
