2019 Valentines Day Post Part 2

This Valentines Day my annual V-Day post will be divided into two parts. If you haven't already please read part 1. Again, keep in mind with the number of anime and other media there are I had to limit the couples to just the one's within my knowledge and even then I can't post everything. I could probably put a good 200 couples in these posts and that would still be too short! If there is a couple you think should be on here or in these categories, please read part 1 as well and if these still isn't then feel free to comment. Also, many couples can fit into multiple categories so while I will list their names I will only explain them once. As you may have read I'm kind of a sucker for romance and I'm a guy too mainly because I'm single so I need something to fill that empty void of loneliness. I will be talking about My story again and feel free to ship these couples. I want their love stories to be great, the very opposite of Twilight and 50 Shades of Grey. Feedback is wanted and so is CONSTRUCTIVE Criticism. This is also kind of based off my opinion on what I've watched. If yours is different then that's fine! I'm 23 and single so there's pretty much only one thing to do after posting parts 1 & 2! Finally, I may reveal some endings to the anime so...

*************************!!!!!!!!!!!SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!!!!!!*************************

Love Song: Far Away-Nickelback
I don't not care if you hate Nickelback or think they are terrible as you may have read in a Post from 2017. I don't give a s*** if you hate me for liking a few songs by them. For once DON'T BE AN IGNORANT F*** just listen to the lyrics. Honestly if this song was by another band or singer you'd be singing its praises but just because it is by Nickelback you idiots don't even sit down and listen to it. Still this is probably the least hated Nickelback song out there. The song alone is about loving someone and not letting any obstacles or distance or whatever get in between you. Because the love you have for each other is so strong nothing can break the bond. This song alone influences how I should love any future soul mates or my own family. The music video is sad too but has a happy ending. We see a firefighter going out to fight a forest fire while his wife is at home watching the news and worrying about him. Towards the end we see a tree topple over and think he dies. His wife gets a phone call and starts crying, giving us the impression he died. In the end, he returns with the other firefighters and is reunited with his wife. I can somewhat understand why people hate other Nickelback songs but I don't understand why anyone would hate this. It is about something that we all cherish and value and that is someone you have such a strong relationship with that you won't let anything break that bond.

Magical Girl Couples
Many magical girl anime and manga have romance as well and usually the main character girl ends up with some boyfriend or love interest in the series. It is considered a trope for the girl to have a boyfriend but it is a trope that is not as used as other magical girl tropes. Some of these boyfriends are clueless about the activities of their girlfriends for most of the series and find out at the end. Others are heavily involved with the same activities as the female heroes some even coming to their rescue when needed. For this reason I will include a new category for magical girls and their boyfriends.

Usagi Tsukino + Mamoru Chiba (Sailor Moon) (Crystal) (Please see Part 1: Best/Popular Couples)

Sakura Kinomoto + Syaoran Li (Cardcaptor Sakura) (Clear Card) (Please see Part 1: Best/Popular Couples)

Meirin Kanzaki + Asuka Yuuki (Ask Dr Rin!/Dr Rin ni Kiitemite!)- I feel like this classic magical girl anime is underrated. Meirin likes Asuka and while it seems unrequited at first, Asuka starts to have feelings for her as well. I feel these two deserve more recognition as couple so please ship them!

Himeko Nonohara + Daichi Kobayashi (Hime-Chan no Ribbon/Hime Chan's Ribbon)- Another underrated classic magical girl anime. Like many girls, Himeko likes a much older, Hasekura-senpai, but shifts towards Daichi, a boy her age instead. Daichi's friend, Hikaru also serves as a friend/rival for Daichi's affections. These two are an underrated couple that should get more attention.

Ichigo Momomiya + Masaya Aoyama (Tokyo Mew Mew/Mew Mew Power)- I know a lot of TMM fans pair Ichigo with Kisshu (Quiche) or sometimes with Ryou, I don't really get it and I don't understand why people don't like her with Masaya. Her relationship with Kisshu is more like a stalker than an actual lover whereas Ryou usually just messes with her but isn't really interested in her romantically. I think Ichigo belongs with Masaya as they have mutual feelings and make sacrifices for each other. This is an adorable relationship between a clumsy sweet Ichigo and the popular Masaya. I do wish there were more couple/relationship stories between a shy boy and popular girl though. (I'm kind of a shy boy myself). Feel free to ship them if you feel the same way and if your opinion is different, that's fine.

Meimi Haneoka + Daiki Asuka/Asuka Jr (Saint Tail)- Saint Tail is an underrated magical girl romance anime and I say the love story between Meimi and Asuka to me is very similar to that between Sakura and Syaoran of Cardcaptor Sakura. Meimi has an alter identity as Saint Tail, a modern-day Robin Hood. Meimi harbors feelings for Asuka, but Asuka doesn't seem to notice as he's trying to catch Saint Tail. We see their relationship progress and no obstacle stands in their way. What I really loved was even when Asuka found out Meimi was really Saint Tail, he continued to love her. Overall, they are also a pretty cute couple together.

Momoko Hanasaki + Yosuke Fuuma (Wedding Peach)- This magical girl anime looks similar to Sailor Moon and having watched it, I will include it. At first, Momoko/Wedding Peach is infatuated with Yanagiba Kazuya but starts to shift her feelings towards Yosuke/Viento. However, while Momoko is a descendant of the Angels, Yosuke is a descendant of the Devils, giving us a star-crossed lovers relationship. Nevertheless Momoko and Yosuke prove their love is so strong for each other that they are able to defeat the evil Reine Devila and are able to continue their relationship. In the manga they get married.

Other Wedding Peach Couples- Of course there are other couples in this magical girl romance anime that I must mention. Momoko's best friends, Yuri Tanima/Angel Lily and Hinagiku Tamano/Angel Daisy also have crush on Yanagiba Kazuya. However, Hinagiku shifts her feelings towards her childhood friend, Takuro Amano instead. Yuri and Yanagiba/Limone continue their relationship where they left off. In the manga Yuri and Yanagiba, and Hinagiku and Takuro get married.

Maron Kusakabe + Chiaki Nagoya (Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne/Phantom Thief Jeanne)- Another anime very similar to Saint Tail and if you liked one, you'll surely like the other. Maron is secretly the reincarnation of Jeanne D'Arc to hunt demons. Chiaki is also has a secret identity as Kaitou Sinbad. Chiaki knows Maron's secret identity but Maron does not know Chiaki is Sinbad at first. While Maron doesn't like Chiaki at first, they fall in love as the series progresses. Also, they get married in the manga as it runs longer than the anime.

Luchia Nanami + Kaito Domoto (Mermaid Melody)- This series is loosely inspired by the original The Little Mermaid story. I really loved Mermaid Melody and its couples and Luchia and Kaito are by far the OTP of the show. Kaito is in love with both the human Luchia and the mermaid princess Luchia not knowing they are the same person for the first season while there were some obvious signs. Over the course of the series we see Luchia and Kaito fall in love and realize their feelings for one another. Plus they kiss like 11 times in the anime, more than any other anime I've watched (excluding ecchi and fanservice). IDK I lost track! Plus it had a happy ending and I really hope they get married!

Other Mermaid Melody Couples- There are other couples in Mermaid Melody that I have to mention. Hanon Hosho likes a much older music teacher, Taro Mitsuki in the first season but in the second season a slightly younger boy, Nagisa Shirai, falls for her. While it seems one-sided at first, Hanon eventually develops feelings for Nagisa in return. In the second season, Rina Toin also falls in love with Masahiro Hamasaki and the two promise to love each other forever. Even Hippo falls in love with Yuri while in his human form. While Luchia and Kaito are guaranteed a happy ending we are unsure about Hanon and Rina's romances but hope for the best.

Yuuma Kohinata + Haruhi Kamisaka (Happiness!)- An underrated magical romance anime that I reviewed in 2017, Yuuma and Haruhi don't get quite the attention they deserve. It was clear that they had feelings for each other from the beginning. They shared many moments throughout the anime and in the end they sealed it with a kiss as an official couple. They are very cute and romantic together and care for each other so much. They are supportive of each other and help each other out in so many ways. They are a very underrated couple, so please ship them!

Sumomo Akihime + Masaharu Tsuwabuki (Nanatsuiro Drops)- Another underrated series that I think combines Cardcaptor Sakura, Kobato, Happiness, and Princess Tutu. I really had nothing bad to say about this anime and this would be my example of a perfect anime. Masaharu becomes a stuffed lamb at night after accidentally drinking a potion. Sumomo is there to help him out but cannot know his true identity or he will become a stuffed lamb forever. We see Masaharu and Sumomo spend more time together and fall in love. However, Masaharu will eventually lose his memories but promises that he will continue to love Sumomo as they kiss. It was a great ending in my Endings Rant. Masaharu is able to fulfill his promise and loves Sumomo. There is a strong love theme in Nanatsuiro Drops. While there are moments of pain and sadness, Sumomo and Masaharu show that their love for one another is so strong that they can overcome anything together and will stay with each other even if one's life falls apart cause they will always have each other. A lesson I never get tired of watching. They are such an adorable and underrated couple and they show how far they will go for one another. So please ship them!

Tomomi Matsunaga + Yuuya Noda (Miracle Girls) (Please see Part 1: Best Romance in Non-Romance Anime)

Mikage Matsunaga + Hideaki Kurashige (Miracle Girls) (Please see Part 1: Best Romance in Non-Romance Anime)

Underrated Couples
There's many couples I believe are underrated and deserve more attention. I could possibly even list more and that still wouldn't be enough so I'm just going to limit down to this.

Suzuko + Shukumaru (Fire Tripper) (Please see Part 1: Best Romance in Non-Romance Anime)

Kohei Hasekura + Erika Sendo (Fortune Arterial)- This anime has some pretty mixed reviews. While I know a lot of people didn't like it, I actually enjoyed it. Kohei and Erika seemed to share romantic feelings for each other. While it was kind of not clear I decided that Kohei and Erika are a couple. Ok, I admit again, it's because Kohei looks like me and Erika is such a beautiful girl. While I wish it was longer, I was satisfied by this anime.

Tomomoi Mantsunaga + Yuuya Noda (Miracle Girls(Please see Part 1: Best Romance in Non-Romance Anime)

Mikage Matsunaga + Hideaki Kurashige (Miracle Girls) (Please see Part 1: Best Romance in Non-Romance Anime)

Kyosuke Kasuga + Madoka Ayukawa (Kimagure Orange Road)- I loved this classic 1987 romantic comedy and I think it deserves more attention, I even liked it more than Maison Ikkoku. Here we have an interesting love triangle concept where the two girls, Madoka and Hikaru are best friends and have feelings for Kyosuke. Additionally, Kyosuke has supernatural powers too! Kyosuke and Madoka progress their relationship quite bit throughout the story but still remain friends with Hikaru. The final movie Summer's Beginning really seals the deal for Kyosuke and Madoka.

Yuuto Ayase + Haruka Nogizaka (Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu/Haruka Nogizaka's Secret)- Haruka is an intelligent and wealthy girl who is the most popular and idolized girl in school. Yuuto is an ordinary boy who discovers Haruka's secret otaku passion and shares her passion as well. Yuuto and Haruka develop a relationship, and begin to care for each other despite the obstacles.

Kenji Ninomiya + Yurie Hitotsubashi (Kamichu!) (Please see Best Romance in Non-Romance Anime)

Ui Nakatsugawa + Kazuma Hoshino (Hoshizora e Kakaru Hashi/A Bridge to Starry Skies)- This was a pretty good romance harem anime. While Kazuma develops some type of relationship with several girls, it was clear from the beginning it is pretty clear that Ui would end up with Kazuma. Kazuma seemed to have stronger feelings for Ui than the other girls in the story. Eventually they seal the deal in the last episode.

Hayato Kazami + Asuka Sugo (Future Cyber Formula GPX) (Please see Part 1: Best Romance in Non-Romance Anime)

Shima Katase + Kouta Otoyama (Stellvia)- Stellvia was a interesting and underrated anime with a nice coming-of-age theme. We see Shima and Kouta begin to have feelings for each other after spending some time together. They develop their relationship rather early in the anime too and seem to show their feelings for one another throughout the series.

Yuuko Kawai + Hiroshi Naganuma (Mizuiro Jidai)- A classic coming-of-age anime involving childhood friends Yuuko and Hiroshi who are now in middle school. Yuuko has harbored feelings for Hiroshi and he eventually returns her feelings. Yuuko and Hiroshi share plenty of moments throughout the 47 episodes. They deal with the challenges and struggles of growing up but still retain their relationship. This anime didn't get as much recognition as it should have. Yuu and Hiroshi should also have more recognition as couple.

Yoshichika Tsurugi + Athena (Luck & Logic) (Please see Part 1: Best Romance in Non-Romance Anime)

Mikoto Urabe + Akira Tsubaki (Nazo no Kanojo X/Mysterious Girlfriend X)- I reviewed this anime about two years ago. Despite it being kind of weird it is a pretty good anime once you get over the unusual factors plus it has a good ending. Urabe and Tsubaki exchange drool but when you think of it as them kissing. Just imagine that as them kissing which is what I did and it's actually pretty romantic. Urabe and Tsubaki truly have strong feelings for one another and I got the same warm fuzzy feelings from any other romance anime so I actually really like these two as a couple.

Kazuto Iizuka + Narue Nanase (The World of Narue/Narue no Sekai)- This was a underrated romance sci-fi anime. Kazuto and Narue immediately hit it off in the first episode and remain together for the 12 episodes in the anime. It's not quite as romantic or emotional as some other anime but they are still pretty cute though. I also feel Kazuto and Narue don't get enough attention as a couple.

Meirin Kanzaki + Asuka Yuuki (Ask Dr Rin!/Dr Rin ni Kiitemite!(Please see Magical Girl Couples)

Himeko Nonohara + Daichi Kobayashi (Hime-Chan no Ribbon/Hime Chan's Ribbon(Please see Magical Girl Couples)

Junichi Asakura + Nemu Asakura (Da Capo)- While Da Capo was not the absolute greatest, it is a underrated romance harem anime that deserves more attention. Each love interest could fit our main character Junichi in some way but Nemu was the one who ended up with him at the end. I normally don't like incest relationships but I will make exceptions as Nemu is adopted and not blood-related to Junichi and Japan's marriage laws are much less strict than America's. So to them it would be considered kind of normal. Anyway Nemu and Junichi have feelings for each other and care for one another deeply as seen in the two seasons of Da Capo. If you support them like me, feel free to ship them, if not then that's fine!

Naoki Kuzumi + Honami Fujieda (Hani Hani: Operation Sanctuary/Tsuki wa Higahi ni Hi was Nishi ni)- This was a very underrated harem romance anime with a great ending. Naoki and Honami are childhood friends. Honami has also taken care of Naoki since an accident which he lost his parents and memory in an accident. I believe Honami deserved to be with Naoki more than all the other love interests. While Mikoto was another focus of the story, she seemed to view Naoki as more of a brother. Naoki and Honami get married which is probably one of the best case ending scenarios in my opinion.

Haruhiko Amami + Riko Fukamine (Gift Eternal Rainbow)- I recently reviewed this anime and it got 5 stars from me. It's a very underrated romance harem anime.  Like I mentioned above, I'm not into incest relationships but these two aren't blood-related and it's only in their name. Haruhiko and Riko were very close as children until they had to sadly depart. Riko eventually returns to be reunited with Haruhiko. In the story, they show their strong feelings for each other and how close they are. It also makes sense why Haruhiko ends up with Riko and not his childhood friend Kirino. I feel these two deserve more fame and it will make sense why they end up together if you watch the series.

Yuuma Kohinata + Haruhi Kamisaka (Happiness!) (Please see Magical Girl Couples)

Mamoru Yoshimura + Ayako Takasu (Venus to Mamoru/Mamoru Kun ni Megami no Shokufuko wo!)- I'm really looking forward to watching this anime which I believe is very underrated. Mamoru is a short 16-year-old who is asked out by an older Ayako on his first day of attending a prestigious school. I like it because Mamoru who's a very short boy manages to get with a Ayako a beautiful popular girl who's at the top of her class. I mean he is really one lucky guy! I believe these two deserve way more attention as well so feel free to ship them!

Sumomo Akihime + Masaharu Tsuwabuki (Nanatsuiro Drops) (Please see Magical Girl Couples)

Tatsuya Asagiri + Feena Fam Earthlight (Brighter than the Dawning Blue/Yoake Mae yori Ruriiro na: Crescent Love)- I reviewed this anime and it is such an underrated anime with a one of the greatest endings so it earned 5 stars from me. Feena is the Lunar Princess of the Moon while Tatsuya is an Earthling school boy. Some people complain it's cliche but it's a good type of cliche involving star-crossed lovers. Tatsuya and Feena don't let anything stop them or get in their way because their love for each other is just so strong. This is shown several times throughout the story and it is such a great theme for romance anime. In one of the best endings, Tatsuya and Feena get married bringing peace between the Earth and Moon.

Firiel Dee + Roux Liskin (The Good Witch of the West/Nishi no Yoki Majo: Astraea Testament)- This is such an underrated anime. It's the kind of love story I will never get tired of watching, between, Firiel, a girl of royal blood, and her younger childhood friend, Roux. Firiel initially sees Roux as a friend or younger brother but the two show romantic feelings for each other rather early in the anime and keep it consistent throughout the story. Lots of kiss scenes in the anime too! (Like 7 or 8) Firiel is also faced with the decision of living a life of royalty or a simple life with the one she loves. Firiel choose to live a happy life with Roux in a place she loves which was a great ending to this anime.

Meimi Haneoka + Daiki Asuka/Askura Jr. (Saint Tail) (Please see Magical Girl Couples)

Momoko Hanasaki+ Yosuke Fuuma (Wedding Peach(Please see Magical Girl Couples)

Other Wedding Peach Couples (Please see Magical Girl Couples)

Kenji Tomosaka + Nanami Konoe (Lamune)- In my opinion, this was a very underrated romance, slice of life anime. Childhood friends, Kenji and Nanami are very close to one another but are too shy to make advancements in their relationship. Man, all the guys named Kenji are getting to good-looking chicks! However, as they spend time together and with everything they go through, it is obvious they love each other romantically. The ending also packs quite a punch showing how Nanami is lost and lonely without Kenji. But he survives his ordeal the two are able to continue relationship with one another.

Ryuji Kisaragi + Rose (Dragon Crisis!)- This was a really underrated romance fantasy anime. It is clear Rose loves Ryuji being attached to him and by his side pretty much all the time. Ryuji also goes to great lengths for Rose to keep her safe and happy. While some don't like Rose but I like her and think she's adorable. Okay, I admit I like it because Ryuji looks like me and you probably know the rest! Rie Kugimiya (the tsundere queen) who voiced Taiga in Toradora also voices Rose, and the main character's name is also Ryuji. But anyway these two are an adorable couple showing how far they will go for one another. If you like them, feel free to ship! If not, then that's fine!

My Story Shippings
I will be listing the couples from My Story on here. I'm just going to list the couples who become official and I'm only going to put the main couples on here. If you ship these I guarantee they will set sail and won't sink (except Fahru and both the villains die!). I know this stuff sounds cliche, but come on it's the good type of cliche! It's the theme that I'll never get tired of watching! If you are interested in shipping these couples, feel free, leave a comment, message etc. I may try to get pics in the future sometime but for now just enjoy these avatars!

Takeshi Hachuu + Annabelle "Angel" Ahrimo- Takeshi is the main character so these two are the OTP of the anime. Takeshi is a 16 year old reptile/snake yokai who is mostly introverted, mature, smart, selfless, strong-willed, and protective (A combination of Katniss Everdeen from The Hunger Games and Robin from Teen Titans) and Angel is a 16 year old cat yokai who is very kind, friendly, sweet, selfless, intelligent, and popular in school. Angel makes friends with Takeshi as she feels sorry for him seeing him alone. Takeshi and Angel share their secrets and feelings for one another despite that Reptiles and Cats are supposed to be enemies. Both come to terms with how to accept their identies and fate. Takeshi had suffered the death of his father and years of discrimination while Angel always thought she was the only one. They show how much they deeply and truly care about each other and are always there for one another throughout the story. Angel is willing to stand up for Takeshi and is really supportive of him. Both cannot bear to see the other one sad or hurt. To Angel Takeshi's happiness is her happiness and to Takeshi, Angel's happiness is his happiness. Takeshi is not afraid to to protect Angel or anyone else he loves even if it means the cost his own life. Takeshi comes to terms and realizes it's the first time since his father's death that he hasn't felt sad, lonely, or depressed and is happy and stronger with Angel by his side. With every challenge and obstacle they face, Takeshi and Angel only get stronger together. Takeshi strives to fulfill his father's dying wish and Angel helps him every step of the way.

Taro Hachuu + Nina Moriko- While Takeshi and Angel are the OTP, Taro and Nina are a very close second. Taro, age 14, younger brother of Takeshi who is also a reptilian/snake yokai. He is initally short-tempered and vengeful. Nina, age 14, is Taro's childhood friend and a owl yokai of Russian and Japanese decent and is spunky and vein, yet caring as well. And yes she is a tsundere too! They stay by each others side despite that Reptiles and Owls are supposed to be enemies. At first, they argue a lot and try to hide their feelings but realize how much they really mean to each other and need each other and care about one another. Nina has suffered the loss of both her parents and Taro suffered through the death of his father. Both want to fulfill what their parents wishes and realize that they are no longer sad, lonely, or depressed, and are happy and stronger by each other's side. Much like many couples, Taro and Nina cannot bear to see the other one hurt or sad and are brought joy by the other's happiness. They face many obstacles and challenges in their relationship but always come out stronger than before.

Fahru Hachuu + Ren Hachuu- Ren and Fahru are the mother and father of Takeshi and Taro. Fahru is a reptilian/snake yoaki, while Ren is an ordinary human. These two are kind of star-crossed lovers. Their parents each accepted each other while society didn't. The fact that a reptilian and ordinary human are married was more reason they were targeted. Nevertheless they didn't care what others thought. They were deeply in love with each other and went to great lengths for one another and they started a family which made them stronger. Fahru was willing to risk anything for his family and finally lost his life protecting those he loved the most. Ren strives to fulfill her promise and Fahru's dying wish and continues to raise her two boys as a single mother well.

Chad Callahan Rival- Of course we can't have love stories without some rivals. Chad is popular exchange student from England who's secretly a werewolf. As a typical "pretty boy" he's tall, good looking, smart, muscular, athletic, and fit with nice blonde hair and blue eyes. He plays soccer, baseball, and basketball. Chad is initially attracted to Angel for her looks and popularity. Angel only thinks of him as a friend and doesn't return his advances. Chad is still also thinking about his girlfriend back home who he eventually returns to. While Takeshi and Chad are rivals for Angel's affections, they stay respectful to each other and usually try to avoid conflict with one another. Taro initially dislikes Chad but begins to have friendly rivalry with him as the story goes on. He helps Angel and her allies a few times and they return the favor.

Hawkwing Rival- Hawkwing is an older friend of Nina who she had a crush on. Yet he betrays her and becomes a villain. Hawkwing feels a connection to Nina and still shows interest but he looks down on Taro and sees him as being inferior to him. Hawkwing becomes a major villain and he and Taro become fiercely enemies as well being enemies with the other main characters. Nina eventually rejects Hawkwing for the sake of doing good, though she has mixed feelings about him. She chooses Taro as she realizes she truly loves him.

Masami Kobayashi Rival- Masami Kobayashi, age 15, is the cousin and childhood friend of Takeshi and Taro, and a friend/rival to Angel and Nina. Masami is an ordinary human being on Ren's side of the family but is also quite a warrior and fighter herself, being skilled with weapons and martial arts. Masami is willing to help the yokai gain freedom and lessen the misunderstandings of them. Initially she seems like a flirt but Masami secretly harbor's for both Takeshi and Taro. Takeshi and Taro both initially consider Masami a friend and cousin but do have strong feeling for her later. Taro is split between Nina and Masami. Masami's willing to protect and defend her allies to the end and cares deeply for Taro, Takeshi, even Nina and Angel as well as all her friends and family.

Kyofusho + Kumori- The main villain Kyofusho, which means phobia. Kumori is his wife. Kumori is just as evil also joining her husband in his plans. They are loyal to one another and they evan have a son and other family members who are evil as well.

That's a rap for this Valentines Day and if you have any couples that should be added, feel free to post them in the comments. Now if you excuse me I will now get to doing what everyone who's drinking age over does best on Valentines Day so here's another photo to sum up my love life.
