My Story: Sova: The Orphaned Owl Chick

Another post from My Story and the last before the new year. Here we will see how Nina got Sova and how he became her best pet.

Opening

We see a nest of Snowy Owl Chicks when suddenly a forest fire from a nearby conflict rages through destroying the area. One of the surviving chicks finds a small gem and is attracted to the shiny object.

Summary

After the group comes home and with Sova, Nina's snowy owl, coming to greet them. Angel asks how she got Sova and why they seem to always stick by each other's side. Nina starts telling a story and we see a flashback to her childhood. One day we see Nina's mother, Mrs. Moriko as a young woman who is a Owl-human, like her finds an orphaned snowy owl chick in her home of Russia. She Travels back to Japan to show her Husband, Mr. Moriko and Nina. On Nina's birthday they decide to keep him as a pet and name him Sova, which means night owl in Russia. Soon they discover Sova can change his size and grow enormously large and strong enough to carry multiple adults and has other powers such as producing powerful wind with his wings and a supersonic screech. As Mrs. Moriko and Nina are part owl themselves, they are confident about raising him. Nina and Sova become close and she teaches him how to fly as well. Sova also meets Nina's grandmother, and her friends including Takeshi and Taro. Sova also helps defend Nina from a group of bullies.

Ending

Nina's grandma, Grandmother Moriko greets the group and Nina explains how she and Sova found each other and have a special bond. Taro tells her she is lucky to have such a loyal pet and companion by her side.

Overview

So now we have a bit of a backstory about Nina and Sova, and a hint at what might come. There will also be more flashbacks in this My Story too so stay tuned.

My Story: Night at the Shrine

After my last long post from My Story here. It won't be another movie but just another episode.

Opening

Takeshi and Taro take Angel and Nina to a sacred shrine were they go in order to pay their respects to their father and deceased loved ones. Nina also uses the time to remember her parents.

Summary

Angel is amazed by the shrine and how neat it is kept. Takeshi says that it is a secretive place and they don't really take those who are outside their family there. Taro explains that their father might have left clues at the shrine which may help them in the future but have yet to find them. Unknown to them, Myou is spying on them from a tree and reports back to Kyofusho and Kumori. They plan on stealing the items to gain access and one-up our heroes. The next night they arrive at the shrine and find one of their ancestor's statues stolen and one of the sculptures broken. They immediately know one of the villains has stolen it. They split up to search with Takeshi and Angel going into one area and Taro and Nina going to the other. Nina asks Taro how he feels about their father's legacy and why he seems to not speak much at the shrine. Taro explains that he shouldn't ask much from his father but should work for what he wants and misses him. Nina says she misses her parents too but that she and Taro can always get joy from the memories and that they can still be their for each other as they embrace. Suddenly they spot Myou running away with the statue. Taro and Nina immediately signal Takeshi and Angel and they battle Myou and retrieve the statue. They also find a clue back at the shrine from their father which tells them to stay together as they are stronger together.

Ending

Takeshi says their father will want them to find happiness and learn how to carry on without him. Nina says she knows her parents will feel the same. As they head home, Taro and Nina hold each others hand.

Overview

So we now have another episode to follow our movie and Taro and Nina are beginning to show more romantic feelings for each other. Stay tuned for my next post.

My Story: Brothers by Blood

As you may have guessed here is another part to My Story and this time it will be what would probably be an entire volume and movie. Takeshi and Taro have a bit of a conflict and are both reflecting on their relationship as brothers.

Opening

Takeshi hears news about demons sighted in Thailand and Vietnam. Takeshi suspects they could be there because new gems or scrolls have appeared there. Angel insists the gang should go and check it out.

Summary

Takeshi, Taro, Angel and Nina decide to head for Vietnam in order to see if Kyofusho is planning something there and investigate what mystery they'll run into. Takeshi, Taro, and Angel ride on Sova while Nina flies besides them.

Upon arrival Taro sees a man with a tattoo that looks like he could be a demon or have involvement with the International Justice for Humanity (IJH) who are anti obake and may have been involved in the death of their father. Taro attacks him and demands to know what information he has while threatening him with a knife. Takeshi, Angel, and Nina pull him off and apologize to the man who runs away in fear calling them freaks. Takeshi tells Taro about how he is too aggressive, short tempered and doesn't think before he acts. Taro accuses Takeshi of how he doesn't jump on a chance whenever it arrives. The two argue and refuse to talk to each other for the rest of the day.

At night Angel tells Nina that Takeshi and Taro must work together as it makes them stronger. They decide to talk to each of them to get them to reconcile. Takeshi and Angel tell each other stories of their childhood and what it was like growing up as the eldest child in each family. Takeshi says he'll reconsider making up with Taro. Meanwhile Taro tells Nina of how much higher achieving Takeshi has always been and how he is tired of being in his shadow. He decides he will try and do the mission on his own causing an argument between him and Nina. Nina unties his hammock causing him to fall as she leaves.

The next day Taro sets out on his own and searches through a harbor diving down using his aquatic abilities. Angel and Nina want to try and find Taro but Takeshi says they are better without him. Taro is ambushes by Kyofusho's henchmen and tries to fight them on his own. The rest of the gang come in time to assist Taro. Takeshi and Taro argue again and decide to go their separate ways.

Days go by where Takeshi and Taro stop talking to each other. One night Taro is ambushed in the streets by the man he attacked with a gang who are shown to be part of the IJH. Taro escapes injured and limps to a hospital. Takeshi, Angel, and Nina search for him and overhear a nurse who's shift ended coming out talking about a patient who they suspect is Taro. They go in and find an injured Taro. Takeshi talks to Taro about their father and what he would want them to do. They reconcile as they know they can become heroes and help others just as their father would want them to do. Soon the same gang who attacked Taro break into the hospital. The group fight them off with Angel killing the ringleader with an arrow, but Takeshi and Taro are both severely injured and close to death. Takeshi manages to come through and leaves the hospital to help Taro heals on his own as they become weak if they stay together while wounded. The brothers have found a newfound respect and a stronger bond with each other.

Ending

The group are in Thailand seeing how beautiful the natural habitats are. After Takeshi and Angel tell each other that they will always love and make up with their siblings no matter how mad they get at them. Angel says she's also in the mood for something else, then she and Takeshi share a kiss. Meanwhile Taro and Nina discuss what they want out of the future if they achieve their mission. Taro says he would want to carry on his father's legacy and possibly teach them to someone he loves. Nina says she wants the same too with her parents and knows who she wants maybe spend her life with. Nina then hugs Taro and kisses his cheek.

Overview

So we just went through our first movie and a series of events that have brought our main characters closer together particularly brothers Takeshi and Taro. We also have some romance between Takeshi and Angel, and seeing Taro and Nina showing romantic feelings for each other.

My Story: Nina's Fear, Taro's Help

So here is the next part of My Story. I moved recently and am in the process of finding a job so I will be pretty busy with that but will continue to post.

Opening

During gym class, Nina refuses to go in the pool but will not say why. Taro notices this and brushes it off as Nina being prissy and not wanting to ruin her hair.

Summary

While searching for a gem near a small river, Takeshi, Taro, and Angel go into the water but Nina refuses. Taro pushes her in causing her to panic only to realize the water is only 3 feet deep. Nina, angry, gets out and pulls Taro in and the two start fighting. Angel and Nina break them up and Nina admits she's afraid of water. Taro decides to help Nina overcome her fear along with Takeshi and Angel. The next day at public pool Taro and Takeshi tell how they were taught to swim at a young age and Angel says she's always naturally been drawn to water. Nina is able to get in but doesn't want to go into the deep end. The next day they are attacked by one of Kyofusho's insect mutants. Kyofusho snatches a gem and throws it into the river. Taro dives after it but Kumori dives in to drown Taro. Nina heroically jumps in instantly overcoming her fear. Taro and Nina surface alive but Kumori takes a gem and gets away with it.

Ending

While Taro is mad about losing a gem to Kumori and Kyofusho he thanks Nina for saving him and overcoming her fear. Takeshi and Angel acknowledge that Taro and Nina are starting to be nicer and seem to care more about each other recently as opposed to their usual fighting.

Overview

So Taro is did something nice for Nina and we are starting to see them actually care about each other and not argue. Stay tuned for my next post.

My Story: The Possessed Hatchling

I've been pretty busy this month as I have moved to a different state. But I will give another post from My Story. Here Kyofusho decides to use another trick to gain control of our heroes.

Opening

Kyofusho finds a lizard hatchling and proceeds to injure it and then possess it to gain control of the group knowing they're animal lovers.

Summary

Angel finds the injured lizard hatchling and decides to take it home and keep it as a pet while rehabilitating it. Takeshi and Taro suspect something unusual about the lizard but let Angel take it home. The lizard then follows Angel everywhere including to school which baffles everyone. Taro and Nina both suspect Kyofusho might be playing a trick. Angel appears but doesn't seem herself, she acts rudely and demands to know where the scrolls and gems are kept. Takeshi realizes she is being possessed by Kyofusho and he quickly finds the lizard and uses his powers to sense the prescence of Kyofusho. Takeshi finds a rare plant that is said to be the antidote which he feeds to Angel which causes her to snap out of it. Angel thanks Takeshi for saving her.

Ending

After Takeshi and Angel release the lizard, they find a turtle hatchling. Takeshi can tell it is not possessed by Kyofusho and gives it to Angel as a gift.

Overview

Unfortunately that is another filler episode. I've been busy with adjusting to a new place but I will continue to post. Stay tuned for my next post.

My Story: Hawkwing

Now we have a post in My Story and here I will introduce a new character. Like I mentioned this new character will throw things for a curveball and add conflict to the story.

Opening

A flashback shows a 11-year-old Nina meeting Hawkwing, a 15-year-old hawk obake with powers of  birds of prey. Nina befriends him and even develops a slight infatuation with him as both have had loved ones killed by anti-obake activists.

Summary

Hawkwing moves to Japan and Nina recognizes him. Taro immediately becomes jealous and suspicious of Hawkwing as he's friendly to Nina and Angel but acts cold to him. Takeshi tells him he understands his feelings but shouldn't stoop low about it and should handle it maturely. The next day they gang encounter demons sent by Kyofusho. Hawkwing comes in and defeats them easily singlehandedly. While Nina is grateful Taro believes it could be set up as Hawkwing could probably not have defeated them that easily. An annoyed Nina tells Taro that he should be grateful which starts an argument between Taro and Nina.

Ending

In a secret location Hawkwing meets with Kyofusho and his allies to tell him that the plan went perfectly revealing Hawkwing is joining forces with the main villains of the story. For now it is unknown to the main characters. The demon attack with Hawkwing saving everyone was setup by Kyofusho and Hawkwing.

Overview

So we have a new character who we see is on the villains side unknown to our main heroes. Tune in for the next post.

My Story: Taro and Nina, In Love?

So after I posted my previous chapter/episode of My Story with Takeshi and Angel going on a first date, now Taro and Nina will be getting some action.

Opening

While walking home from school, Taro and Nina begin arguing yet again. Nina blames Taro for giving her wrong answers for a quiz in class, resulting in both getting poor grades. Taro insists he didn't know the answers entirely but was pretty sure he was right as he was taking the quiz.

Summary

Takeshi and Angel get fed up with the arguing and intervene. Angel says that while they don't have to see eye to eye on everything they should try to talk without arguing and act more mature. Takeshi says that as a team they will be weaker when divided and they must come together if they want to continue their journey with success. They decide to split up with Angel talking to Nina about her feelings. Nina talks about her childhood with Takeshi and Taro and Angel asks if she may like Taro romantically. Nina is surprised and denies it but Angel insists she just won't admit it and tells her that the way they act is like a couple and that she probably likes Taro. Nina just says she's unsure. Meanwhile Takeshi asks Taro what his deal with Nina is. Taro says she's temperamental (a bit hypocritical as Taro's the most short tempered of the 4) and a perfectionist. Takeshi asks if he may like Nina which shocks Taro and he says he doesn't think it's the case. The next day Taro and Nina meet up and apologize to each other and decide to help each other in their skills for the next mission. Takeshi and Angel meet up with them working together to their surprise. Just then another demon and ally of Kyofusho, Osore comes in. Osore's tactic is to use fear against his opponents. Taro and Nina tell Takeshi and Angel to stand down so they can prove themselves. Osore catches Nina in her fear, thunder and lighting which Taro helps her out of hit. Taro is then faced with his fear, needles! Nina makes a hit followed by Taro which forces Osore to retreat.

Ending

Taro and Nina congratulate each other for their success and how much they've improved. This makes Takeshi and Angel happy to see them getting along and working together. When Angel says again how they look like a couple Taro and Nina blush with embarrassment.

Overview

So now we're getting to see Taro and Nina's love-hate relationship and the tsundere Nina begin to change and start becoming nicer. Next we'll introduce a new character who will throw things for a curveball.

My Story: Mystery at Rebun Island

Here's the next part in My Story here our characters go to Rebun Island to investigate and mystery and potentially encounter more demons.

Opening

Takeshi calls for a meeting between him, Angel, Taro, and Nina. He says he found an old message from his father that hints something at Rebun Island.

Summary

The group travel to Rebun Island with Nina flying and the others getting a ride from her trusty owl Sova. As they arrive they find a clearing in the forest and decide to check that area. They find a group of strange small humanoids who disperse when they encounter them. The gang split up to search for them to investigate what they are. Taro finds a clone of him and tries to fight him wondering what they are trying to do in the chaos the others also encounter clones in a similar way. They meet up but are wondering which one of them is real and which one is an imposter. That's when they realize the small humanoids are Imposter demons who mimic any person or animal they see. Takeshi follows them realizing they know where a gem is hidden and Takeshi quickly snatches it when he finds it.

Ending

The group gather back together and realize that they now have to be extra careful with the imposters as it will be hard to determine who is who and question whether someone is a friend or foe.

Overview

So there's the next post to My Story. Now we have another set of villains that our heroes have to deal with.

My Story: First Date

Here's more from My Story. Here Takeshi and Angel go on their first date and what is the start of a romantic relationship.

Opening

At the end of school Angel meets Takeshi just as he is about to find Taro and Nina, and head home. Angel asks him out to dinner and a movie. A surprised Takeshi accepts.

Summary

Takeshi and Angel plan out their date but Takeshi worries if Taro and Nina would be able to handle themselves in case of an attack. Taro assures them that he has trained for most of his life like Takeshi and will be able to handle himself. Takeshi is nervous about how to act on a first date. Angel holds his hand making them both blush. They start sharing food and drinks during dinner. Takeshi tells Angel he's never been on date before but Angel is happy to be taking him on his first one. At the movie angel rests on Takeshi's shoulder. As they walk home Takeshi and Angel tell each other they enjoyed it and promise to go out again.

Ending

Takeshi realizes that while his father may be gone he will have Angel who he can emotionally rely on and that Angel cares about about him and is willing to help him no matter what.

Overview

So we have some romance action going on between our two older main characters, Takeshi and Angel. Feel free to ship them! Also, Taro and Nina might get to the "love" in their love-hate relationship soon.

My Story: Cousin Masami, Human Warrior

Here's another chapter/episode from My Story. Here we are introduced to Takeshi and Taro's cousin and childhood friend, Masami Kobayashi.

Opening

Masami Kobayashi is moving to Takeshi and Taro's school and neighborhood looking forward to reconnecting with both of them.

Summary

Takeshi, Taro, and Nina are surprised when they meet Masami at school. She says she wanted to surprise them and they introduce her to Angel. Masami is thrilled and looking forward to reconnecting and becoming closer to Takeshi and Taro. Angel is happy to gain a new friend however, Nina is suspicious of her as she can tell something has changed about her. After school as the group train improving their fighting skills, Masami joins them showing that while she doesn't have powers she wishes to assist the gang with her martial arts and marksmanship. Nina becomes jealous when Masami starts to spend more time with Taro. Suddenly an imposter demon mimicking Masami attacks. Masami uses this time to show her fighting skills and together they drive the imposter away.

Ending

Nina explains to Angel that she is suspicious of Masami as she seems different from the childhood friend she knew. Angel says while they should keep their guard up, she believes Masami can be trusted.

Overview

So we now have a new character who will play a role in helping the group. However, some events will happen that might change everyone forever.

2022 Valentines Day Post

So it's that time of year again, Valentines Day! As I'm still single it's not my favorite holiday but as usual every year I always make a V-Day Post where I list my favorite or least favorite anime couples and what most people think of them. You probably guess that I'll also post the couples from My Story too. Please feel free to ship them. And their love stories need to be top notch, like the exact opposite of Twilight and 50 Shades of Grey. I've found myself having less to post so, apologizes if you expect more. Feel free to leave feedback but CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM ONLY! You may have a different opinion from mine and that's completely fine. I will probably reveal some endings so...

*************************!!!!!!!!!!!SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!!!!!!*************************

Love Song: All You Wanted-Michelle Branch
This song describes a girl who is attracted to a boy who has gone through some rough times and feels lonely. She wants him to know she'll be there for him no matter what and that she cares about him and can change is life in a positive way. I wish there were more people were like this in the world.

Love Song: I'll Keep Your Memory Vague-Finger Eleven
I had a hard time finding something by a male vocalist that I've never done before so I went with a Finger Eleven. They're kind of an underrated rock band that not many people have heard of but I think they deserve more attention. This describes a two people who are close distance themselves, but they still have memories of being together. The thing is they don't really want to hurt the other person or have them feel bad about the situation but can keep the memories without the guilt.

What I Look for in a Couple
You probably know from my previous V-Day posts on what I look for in a couple. Basically, their chemistry and likability. The two people care for each other and will go out of their way for the other. I usually prefer couples around the same age plus or minus a few years. While I was initially attracted to girls my age I have started having a preference for slightly older girls (NOT COUGARS!). It's cool to date older girls. Therefore the same is with anime. There's much more to this but this is just a short summary.

Worst Couples (Get them outta the way first)
Sorry for mentioning these couples again. But, I will so people know what a love story should not be.

Any School Days Pairing- If you love blood, gore, and violence, go ahead and enjoy School Days. If your looking for anything else, this is one of the most f***ed up anime with a tad bit of romance.

Kirino Kosaka + Kyosuke Kosaka (Oremio)- These two a biological brother and sister, nuff said.

Goku + Chi-Chi (Dragon Ball)- Personally, I don't hate this couple but many do, mainly DBZ fans. Chi-Chi is annoying and we don't know why Goku picked her. Goku didn't know what a bride was when he accepted Chi-Chi to be his bride. They had kids together so it's not really that bad.

Ana Steele + Christian Grey (50 Shades of Grey)- NO NO FOR THE LOVE OF GOD NOOOOOO! 50 Shades of Grey would give Twilight a run for its money. This movie will make anyone sick.

Edward Cullen + Bella Swan (Twilight)- The worst, least favorite couple and most anyone can agree on this statement. This love story pretty much always ranks towards the bottom of any couples list. The only good thing about Twilight is Christina Perri's song "A Thousand Years."

Average/Okay/Mixed Reviews
These couples are mixed reviews, some like them, some hate them, and some are just indifferent. I personally have different opinions but most of them I'm indifferent or kind of support but are not great.

Kirito/Kazuto Kirigaya + Asuna Yuuki (Sword Art Online)- SAO just seems to be one of those anime people either love or hate and it's the same with the love story. I'm personally in between but do like of like it. Asuna is considered a neo-tsundere and changes pretty quickly. Kirito and Asuna begin to bond and how how much they care about each other throughout the series. While the first SAO may have seemed entertaining it kind of got old after that for me.

Tenma Tsukamoto + Kenji Harima + Oji Karasuma (School Rumble)- I think this anime is a bit overrated. It's basically a love triangle. Kenji likes Tenma but Tenma likes Oji but Oji doesn't return her feelings. It's just very one-sided!

Sesshomaru + Rin (Inuyasha)- While other fans like these two as a couple, I'm kind of disturbed by this because Sesshomaru is a grown man and Rin is a child. Inuyasha is chronologically way older than Kagome but physically and mentally they are the same age. I kind see it as more of a father-daughter, guardian-child or older brother-younger sister type relationship than an actual romantic couple. Personally, I think Rin is better with Kohaku. An Inuyasha sequel, Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon has come out with and now features Sesshomaru, Inuyasha, and Kagome's kids. Rin and Sesshomaru are the mother and father of Setsuna and Towa. While Rin has probably aged but I still find it kind of disgusting and disturbing.

Ash + Various Pokemon Girls- I could write an entire post on Ash's potential love interests. The writers just take out one love interest and put in another one for Ash. It's pretty annoying and I wish they would just have Ash stick with one girl. I think Serena from XY was the best for him.

Most Popular/Best Couples
Usagi Tsukino + Mamoru Chiba (Sailor Moon) (Crystal)- No one would forgive me if a made a couples list and did not include these two. Sailor Moon is by far the best magical girl anime. At first, Usagi and Mamoru don't like each other but do come to terms with their feelings. They are the incarnations of Princess Serenity and King Endymion. Mamoru breaks up with Usagi in order to protect her but they end up getting back together as a stronger couple.

Sakura Kinomoto + Syaoran Li (Cardcaptor Sakura) (Clear Card)- I could not make a couples list and not include these two.  Sakura and Syaoran are probably one of the cutest anime couples and I like most people just can't get enough of them. Sakura and Syaoran start off as rivals but warm up to each other. Syaoran eventually works the courage to confess to Sakura and Sakura returns her feelings for to Syaoran. They always look out for each other and are just adorable together. The Clear Card manga is still ongoing so I look forward to seeing more precious moments between them.

Sakura + Syaoran (Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle)- If I include Sakura and Syaoran from CCS then I have to include these two. Sakura and Syaoran are childhood friends and have known each other until Sakura loses her memories. Syaoran goes on a jounrey to retrieve Sakura's memories and they fall in love along the way. We see how much Sakura and Syaoran care for each other and how far they are willing to go for one each other. While I liked the anime, I was kind of disappointing they didn't kiss. I know CLAMP knows how to make better endings like in Cardcaptora SakuraChobits, and Kobato. They were so obviously in love and I swear they better get married in some future anime/manga or I will go ballistic.

Inuyasha + Kagome (Inuyasha)- No one in their right mind would ever forgive me if I made an anime couples list and did not include these two. While they don't get along well at first but develop feelings for each other throughout the story. Inuyasha and Kagome will go to the ends of the earth for the other. There are some conflicting ideas of Kagome vs Kikyo. I support Inuyasha and Kagome, but most of the main characters would be dead if it weren't for Kikyo.

Kobato Hanato + Kiyokazu Fujimoto (Kobato)- Yet another great story by CLAMP. As with most CLAMP stories it starts off being kind of cute, innocent, and funny but becomes very emotional and heartfelt towards the end. Fujimoto acted like he didn't like Kobato at first but starts to warm up to her and shows how much he really cares about her. Kobato's kindness and soft feelings don't change and she begins to show feelings for Fujimoto as well. The ending was great and packed a emotional punch.

Yuuta Togashi + Rikka Takanashi (Love, Chunibyo, & other Delusions/Chunibyo demo Koi ga Shitai)- Another anime that starts off cute, innocent, and funny at first but ends up hitting you emotionally. Yuuta found it embarrassing that he suffered from Chunibyo and Delusions in middles school. Yuuta goes to a new high school to try and escape his past where he meets Rikka, who also suffers from Chunibyo and knows about Yuuta's past. It is revealed there are sad and tragic reasons for their delusions. Yuuta and Rikka fall in love and they kiss in the 2018 movie, Take on Me which was just amazing and took their relationship to the next level.

Mitsuki Koyama + Takuto Kira (Full Moon wo Sagashite/Searching for the Full Moon)- Such as sad emotional anime but finishes it off with a great ending. Mitsuki has a dream to become a singer to fulfill her promise to her childhood friend Eichi Sakurai but suffers from a throat tumor. Shinigami ("death spirits"), Takuto and Meroko come to help Mitsuki achieve her dreams of being a singer after informing her she has one year left to live. Many events happen throughout the anime including Mitsuki find out Eichi has died. Mitsuki eventually realizes her own feelings for Takuto and we see they care about each other enough that they'd give anything for each other. The ending was the cherry on top and gives us hope for Mitsuki, Takuto, and everyone else.

Mitsuyoshi Tada + Teresa Wagner/Teresa de Larsenburg (Tada-kun wa Koi wa Shinai/Tada Never Falls in Love)- A 2018 Doga Kobo anime and I gotta say I really felt for the characters in this one. Teresa is a princess engaged to someone else from her own country. But she and Tada fall in love. I feel for Tada as pretty much every girl I like has a boyfriend. However after Teresa's fiance calls off the wedding, they are able to come together in a happy ending.

Hodaka Morishima + Hina Amano (Tenki no Ko/Weathering with You)-masterpiece from Makoto Shinkai. The relationship between Hina and Hodaka progresses as they become stronger together and spend more time with each other. Towards the end we see how far  Hodaka will go out of his way for Hina.

Underrated Couples
Nasa Yuzaki + Tsukasa Yuzaki (Tonikaku Kawaii/Tonikawa: Over the Moon for You)- I recently watched this anime and while not a masterpiece it's still an enjoyable anime to watch. Tsukasa saves Nasa from being hit by a truck and he immediately falls for her. Tsukasa accepts his confession under the condition that they get married. We see Nasa and Tsukasa's feelings grow stronger as they spend more time together and adapt to life as a married couple. While it's not an over-the-top romance anime but it is still a very good enjoyable romantic comedy anime.

Kyosuke Kasuga + Madoka Ayukawa (Kimagure Orange Road)-  I loved this classic 1987 romantic comedy and I think it deserves more attention. Madoka and Hikaru are best friends and have feelings for Kyosuke. Additionally, Kyosuke has supernatural powers too! Kyosuke and Madoka progress their relationship quite bit throughout the story but still remain friends with Hikaru. The final movie Summer's Beginning really seals the deal for Kyosuke and Madoka.

Junichi Asakura + Nemu Asakura (Da Capo)- not the absolute greatest, it is a underrated romance harem anime that deserves more attention. Each love interest could fit our main character Junichi in some way but Nemu was the one who ended up with him at the end. I normally don't like incest relationships but I will make exceptions as Nemu is adopted and not blood-related to Junichi and Japan's marriage laws are much less strict than America's. So to them it would be considered kind of normal. Throughout the two seasons we see how strong Junichi and Nemu's feelings are for each other.

Firiel Dee + Roux Liskin (Nishi no Yoki Majo: Astraea Testament/The Good Witch of the West)- A very underrated anime and this is type of love story I would never get tired of watching. Firiel is a girl of royal blood, and Roux is her younger childhood friend. Firiel sees Roux as a friend or younger brother at first but they both show romantic feelings for each other that is pretty early in the anime and consistent throughout the story. Firiel has to choose live a life of royalty or a simple life with Roux, the one she loves. She chooses to live a happy life with Roux, the one she loves, and in the place she loves.

Haruhiko Amami + Riko Fukamine (Gift Eternal Rainbow)- A 5 star anime that I reviewed. While I usually don't support incest relationships, but Haruhiko and Riko aren't blood-related and are only brother and sister in name. Haruhiko and Riko were very close as children until Riko has to depart when Haruhiko's dad can no longer support both of them. Later on, Riko returns to be reunited with Haruhiko. They have strong feelings for each other. If you watch the anime, it makes sense why Haruhiko ends up with Riko instead of Kirino, his childhood friend.

Tatsuya Asagiri + Feena Fam Earthlight (Yoake Mae yori Ruriiro na: Crescent Love/Brighter than the Dawning Blue)- This is a very underrated anime with one of the greatest endings I've seen. It's the star-crossed lovers type of story between Lunar Princess of the Moon Feena and Earthling school boy Tatsuya. It may be cliche (some people complain about it), it's a good type of cliche.

Kenji Tomosaka + Nanami Konoe (Lamune)- This was very underrated romance slice of life anime. Kenji and Nanami are childhood friends but are too shy to make advancements in their relationship. However, as they spend time together and with everything they go through, it is obvious they love each other romantically. The ending also packs quite a punch showing how Nanami is lost and lonely without Kenji. But he survives his ordeal the two are able to continue relationship with one another.

Sumomo Akihime + Masaharu Tsuwabuki (Nanatsuiro Drops)-Another very underrated anime and I really have nothing bad to say about it. This is probably an example of a perfect romance anime with a perfect ending. Masaharu accidentally drinks a potion and becomes a stuffed lamb at night. Sumomo is there to help him out of it but cannot know his real identity or he'll become a stuffed lamb forever. Sumomo and Masaharu spend time together and fall in love. Although, Masaharu will lose is memories but promises to continue loving Sumomo as they kiss. This was an amazing ending and Masaharu fulfills his promise to Sumomo. There is such a strong romance theme in Nanatsurio Drops. While there are moments of pain and sadness, Sumomo and Masaharu prove their love is for each other is so strong, they can overcome anything together. and they will stay with each other no matter what. It's a lesson I never get tired of watching. Sumomo and Masaharu are such an underrated underrated couple and show how strong their love for each other is.

Ryuji Kisaragi + Rose (Dragon Crisis!)- This is another underrated romance fantasy anime. Rose loves Ryuji being attached to him and by his side pretty much all the time. Ryuji also goes to great lengths for Rose to keep her safe and happy. There's people don't like Rose but I like her and think she's adorable. Okay, I admit I like it because Ryuji looks like me and you probably know the rest! These two are an adorable couple and will go so far for each other.

My Story
I will be listing the couples from My Story on here. I'm just going to list the couples who become official and I'm only going to put the main couples on here. If you ship these I guarantee they will set sail and won't sink (except Fahru and both the villains die!)If you are interested in shipping these couples, feel free, leave a comment, message etc. I may try to get pics in the future sometime but for now just enjoy these avatars!

Takeshi Hachuu + Annabelle "Angel" Ahrimo- Takeshi is the main character so these two are the OTP of the anime. Takeshi is a 16 year old reptile/snake yokai who is mostly introverted, mature, smart, selfless, strong-willed, and protective (A combination of Katniss Everdeen from The Hunger Games and Robin from Teen Titans) and Angel is a 16 year old cat yokai who is very kind, friendly, sweet, selfless, intelligent, and popular in school. Angel makes friends with Takeshi as she feels sorry for him seeing him alone. Takeshi and Angel share their secrets and feelings for one another despite that Reptiles and Cats are supposed to be enemies. Both come to terms with how to accept their identies and fate. Takeshi had suffered the death of his father and years of discrimination while Angel always thought she was the only one. They show how much they deeply and truly care about each other and are always there for one another throughout the story. Angel is willing to stand up for Takeshi and is really supportive of him. Both cannot bear to see the other one sad or hurt. To Angel Takeshi's happiness is her happiness and to Takeshi, Angel's happiness is his happiness. Takeshi is not afraid to to protect Angel or anyone else he loves even if it means the cost his own life. Takeshi comes to terms and realizes it's the first time since his father's death that he hasn't felt sad, lonely, or depressed and is happy and stronger with Angel by his side. With every challenge and obstacle they face, Takeshi and Angel only get stronger together. Takeshi strives to fulfill his father's dying wish and Angel helps him every step of the way.

Taro Hachuu + Nina Moriko- While Takeshi and Angel are the OTP, Taro and Nina are a very close second. Taro, age 14, younger brother of Takeshi who is also a reptilian/snake yokai. He is initally short-tempered and vengeful. Nina, age 14, is Taro's childhood friend and a owl yokai of Russian and Japanese decent and is spunky and vein, yet caring as well. And yes she is a tsundere too! They stay by each others side despite that Reptiles and Owls are supposed to be enemies. At first, they argue a lot and try to hide their feelings but realize how much they really mean to each other and need each other and care about one another. Nina has suffered the loss of both her parents and Taro suffered through the death of his father. Both want to fulfill what their parents wishes and realize that they are no longer sad, lonely, or depressed, and are happy and stronger by each other's side. Much like many couples, Taro and Nina cannot bear to see the other one hurt or sad and are brought joy by the other's happiness. They face many obstacles and challenges in their relationship but always come out stronger than before.

Fahru Hachuu + Ren Hachuu- Ren and Fahru are the mother and father of Takeshi and Taro. Fahru is a reptilian/snake yoaki, while Ren is an ordinary human. These two are kind of star-crossed lovers. Their parents each accepted each other while society didn't. The fact that a reptilian and ordinary human are married was more reason they were targeted. Nevertheless they didn't care what others thought. They were deeply in love with each other and went to great lengths for one another and they started a family which made them stronger. Fahru was willing to risk anything for his family and finally lost his life protecting those he loved the most. Ren strives to fulfill her promise and Fahru's dying wish and continues to raise her two boys as a single mother well.

Masami Kobayashi- Masami Kobayashi, age 15, is the cousin and childhood friend of Takeshi and Taro, and a friend/rival to Angel and Nina. Masami is an ordinary human being on Ren's side of the family but is also quite a warrior and fighter herself, being skilled with weapons and martial arts. Masami is willing to help the yokai gain freedom and lessen the misunderstandings of them. Initially she seems like a flirt but Masami secretly harbor's for both Takeshi and Taro. Takeshi and Taro both initially consider Masami a friend and cousin but do have strong feeling for her later. Taro is split between Nina and Masami. Masami's willing to protect and defend her allies to the end and cares deeply for Taro, Takeshi, even Nina and Angel as well as all her friends and family.

Chad Callahan- Of course we can't have love stories without some rivals. Chad is popular exchange student from England who's secretly a werewolf. As a typical "pretty boy" he's tall, good looking, smart, muscular, athletic, and fit with nice blonde hair and blue eyes. He plays soccer, baseball, and basketball. Chad is initially attracted to Angel for her looks and popularity. Angel only thinks of him as a friend and doesn't return his advances. Chad is still also thinking about his girlfriend back home who he eventually returns to. While Takeshi and Chad are rivals for Angel's affections, they stay respectful to each other and usually try to avoid conflict with one another. Taro initially dislikes Chad but begins to have friendly rivalry with him as the story goes on. He helps Angel and her allies a few times and they return the favor.

Hawkwing- Hawkwing is an older friend of Nina who she had a crush on. Yet he betrays her and becomes a villain. Hawkwing feels a connection to Nina and still shows interest but he looks down on Taro and sees him as being inferior to him. Hawkwing becomes a major villain and he and Taro become fiercely enemies as well being enemies with the other main characters. Nina eventually rejects Hawkwing for the sake of doing good, though she has mixed feelings about him. She chooses Taro as she realizes she truly loves him.

Kyofusho + Kumori- The main villain Kyofusho, which means phobia. Kumori is his wife. Kumori is just as evil also joining her husband in his plans. They are loyal to one another and they evan have a son and other family members who are evil as well.

Conclusion
That's a rap for this Valentines Day Post. If there are couples you think should be added, feel free to comment. I've basically been repeating myself and I know I sound like a broken record every year but I've been pretty busy in my life and have had less time to work on my blog. And now I'll do pretty much what I do every Valentines Day.
