My Story: Kyoki and Konran: Twin Nationalists
Ok so it's been awhile and I will now post more to My Story. Here we get 2 more Obake's but they are not exactly heroes in this story.
Opening
In a flashback two Pheonix Birds are attacked and two of the young escape. They are revealed to be boy-girl twins, Kyoki and Konran.
Summary
While practicing his marksmanship skills, Taro sees an unusual bird flying through the air. Realizing it's a Pheonix, Taro realizes it could be another Obake. The next day, Taro reports to the others what he saw and Angel says she read articles about recent attacks that might have been from Obake's. Takeshi says he got news that a group of Obakes formed the Obake Nationalists who are a pro-obake group whose goal is to wipe humans from the earth. Takeshi tells everyone that they should never join them and that they are a villain as much as the Demons and anti-obake humans are. Later Taro encounters two old acquaintances, fraternal boy girl obake twins Kyoki and Konran. Unknown to the gang, Kyoki and Konran are part of the Obake Nationalists whose parents formed them. Later they convince Taro to go on another quest but he cannot bring the others with him. Taro reluctantly agrees then Taro encounters Hawkwing along with Kyoki and Konran. He finds out Hawkwing has now joined forces with the Obake Nationalists. Takeshi who finds Taro missing at home sets out with Angel and Nina and they encounter Taro in a standoff with Kyoki, Konran, and Hawkwing. Together they manage to fend them off.
Ending
Takeshi tells everyone they have a new enemy to worry about and now the gang must keep on their toes more. Hawkwing agrees with Kyoki and Konran to for now keep Takeshi, Taro, Angel, and Nina alive for now as they may want to recruit them to join the Obake Nationalists.
My Conclusion
So I've finally posted another chapter/episode from My Story and we have 2 more villains who are in a different group. I've been kind of busy but will try to keep posting.

Our Dating Story: The Experienced You and the Inexperienced Me Review
So I recently watched Our Dating Story: The Experienced You and the Inexperienced Me known as Keikenzumi na Kimi to, Keiken Zero na Ore ga, Otsukiai suru Hanashi or You Were Experienced I Was Not: Our Dating Story or KimiZero for short. Our Dating Story: The Experienced You and the Inexperienced Me started as a 2020 light novel and later a 2022 manga. The 12-episode anime came out in 2023. I enjoyed this anime very much as I relate to the main character Ryuuto Kashima so much, only he did end up much luckier and more successful at his love life than I did. I would strongly recommend this anime for anyone who likes romantic comedies or is like me and lonely and single so they can fantisize about a similar scenario. I might reveal a little bit about the ending so...
*************************!!!!!!!!!!!SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!!!!!!*************************
Summary
A shy and reclusive Ryuuto Kashima, thought being with his very popular classmate Runa Shirakawa would only be a fantasy. After losing a bet with his friends and must confess to Runa. Instead of rejection, Runa agrees to go out with him. But dating Runa becomes overwhelming for Ryuuto who wants their relationship to remain a secret but to their closest friends. Though a series of mishaps, they work through their misunderstandings. Ryuuto reveals his insecurities from his past experiences, and he and Runa grow closer together. Additionally, Ryuuto's middle school crush, Maria Kurose, transfers to his class and rumors about Runa begin to spread around the school. Ryuuto takes desperate measures to protect her.
My Thoughts
I really liked this anime and well. The anime I compare this to the most is Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu (Haruka Nogizaka's Secret) as both involve a romance between the most popular girl in school and a self reserved boy (I don't know how anyone hasn't seen those similarities). I really love that it's a romance between a shy boy and a popular girl which really makes shy guys like me feel better. Ryuuto and Runa's relationship and the way it progresses is what really stands out well. What I appreciate about Ryuuto is that, he always does the right thing (even when given the opportunity to do something innapropriate) and when things go wrong he always tries to make it right. He gains more confidence as the story goes on. Runa's best quality is that she doesn't seem to care if Ryuuto is not the popular 'prince' most girls dream of but loves and accepts him for who he is. Additionally, as the top girl in the school she does not seem to have much of an ego and cares mostly about making and maintaining friendships and relationships regardless of social status and helping others. The other characters aren't quite as memorable but they still add to the story. I did like the ending as we know that Ryuuto and Runa continue their relationship and are still going strong. However, I was kind of left wanting something more, like one of those endings that really gives you all the 'feelings'. But with the light novel and manga ongoing I really want and hope that this isn't the last of the anime we will see. I'd love to see Ryuuto and Runa take their relationship to the 'next level'. I admit it's kind of because Ryuuto looks like me and is also a shy guy too and Runa is such a beautiful girl who reminds me of a someone who I'd love to be with.
My Conclusion
I would give Our Dating Story: The Experienced You and the Inexperienced Me 5/5 stars or a 10/10 score. Now let me explain this is a borderline 5 star anime, I did feel like I wanted something more and I really hope we can see more of this anime in the future. And while I did like this ending, hopefully we can see a stronger ending the next time (like an "tying the knot" in some way).

My Story: Tournament of Death Part II
So picking up where I left of last time as the gang head into a tournament with Taro and Nina winning their matches.
Opening
For the next round, Takeshi and Angel will take the next opponents being Kumori and Osore.
Summary
Angel's fight with Kumori comes first. Intially, Angel's lack of experience causes Kumori to gain the upper hand. However, Takeshi reminds Angel of what his father taught him. Angel is able to use her keen vision and sees a opening which she uses to defeat Kumori.
Takeshi then must take on Osore, a demon who uses fear hypnosis again his opponents. Takeshi is hit and suddenly envisions a moral dilemma. In his dilemma he must choose between killing his mother and killing Angel. Angel and Taro are able to snap Takeshi back into reality. He uses the skills he learned from his dad to finally defeat Osore.
Ending
Kyofusho shows up and then the gang realize that this was a setup for Kyofusho and the other villains to get more gems and scrolls. They fight him and manage to relieve some gems and scrolls, however Kyofusho gets away.
Overview
So another entry from My Story. I've been busy lately so I haven't been able to work on my blog as much as I would like to but will continue posting.

My Story: Tournament of Death Part I
I will continue on with My Story. Here our heroes are now in a tournament with villains and other powerful characters.
Opening
Takeshi finds a note in his mailbox that says there will be a fighting tournament and the winner will get three important scrolls.
Summary
The gang then discuss if it's worth the risk to enter the tournament, which they decide to do as long as one of them comes out on top. They decide for the girls Nina and Angel will take turns with Nina going first. Takeshi and Taro choose to have Taro take the first match with Takeshi doing whatever their final match would be.
Later the tournament will start. In the first round Nina and Taro will each face an imposter. A group of demons that can mimic the appearance and moves of another. This leaves the gang wondering how they can overcome them knowing anything they can do, the imposters can do. The match between Nina and her imposter is looking even at first. But then her opponent makes a mistake exposing herself, giving Nina a chance which she uses to finally knock her down and win.
Ending
While the gang congratulate Nina, they also know it's not over yet. Taro will have to be in the next matchup.
Overview
So I just had to put a short story here. I've been busy and not in the best place as far as my personal life goes as some unforeseen circumstances have come up. But I will try to keep posting.

The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten (Otonari no Tenshi-sama ni Itsunomanika Dame Ningen ni Sareteita Ken) Review
So I recently watched this 2023 romantic comedy anime so as usual I will now review it. The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten first came out as a novel series in 2018, then a light novel in 2019, and manga in 2022 with 3 volumes out currently. In 2023, it became a 12-episode anime. While it's not an outstanding anime I still found it to be a rather enjoyable romantic comedy.
Summary
Mahiru Shiina is a divine beauty loved by all and excels in both academics and athletics. Amane Fujimiya lives next door and is in an entirely different world. Despite living close together, they haven't spoken once. But one day Fujimiya offers Shiina his umbrella during a rainstorm. Fujimiya catches a col the next day and Shiina returns the favor by caring for him back to health. Then Shiina cannot help but worry about Fujimiyra and begins to cook and clean for him. They spend more time together and their relationship progresses.
My Thoughts
I found The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten a enjoyable romantic comedy anime. As much is a like the two main characters, there are some pretty interesting and entertaining side characters, and each are pretty likeable in their own way. The progression of Fujimiya and Shiina's relationship makes for a great main plot and I always couldn't wait to see how they would take it to the next step. It definitely becomes clear they both reciprocate feelings for each other. While it's not an amazing romance anime it's still very enjoyable in it's own way.
My Conclusion
I would give The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten 4.5/5 stars or a 9/10 score. It's feel-good anime that I would recommend to anyone who enjoys romantic comedy especially if they're looking for something more relaxing. I'll probably be posting more about My Story soon or another anime review if I get to watching one.

2024 Valentines Day Post
Again it's that awful time of year (slight sarcasm), Valentines Day. I've been pretty busy so I haven't really had the time to find Mrs. Right and unfortunately by now I'm not really interested. As usual I will post a list of my favorite or least favorite anime couples and what people generally think of them. Most importantly couples from My Story will be included and I want their love stories to be the greatest every, like the very opposite of Twilight and 50 Shades of Grey. Feel free to leave feedback as long as it's CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM ONLY! This is mostly my opinion and that's fine if yours is different. Some endings may be revealed so...
*************************!!!!!!!!!!!SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!!!!!!*************************
Love Song: Wherever you will go-The Calling
Based on what I read this song is about how dramatically your life can change when someone you love is suddenly gone. What one must be going through and how to find a way to get back to that person or make sure they're alright.
What I look for in a couple
As usual I look for the lovability and chemistry in a couple. The way the two care for each other and how far they will go for the other is what I look for in a couple. Normally, I'd prefer couples around the same age plus or minus a year or two. Though I think it's cool to date older women.
Worst couples (let's get the worst outta the way first)
You pretty much know who will be on here based on my previous V-Day posts. But these are possibly some of the worst love stories.
Edward Cullen + Bella Swan (Twilight)-Pretty much the most hated love story and they make up my favorite meme ("still a better love story than Twilight"). The only good thing about this series is Christina Perri's song "A Thousand Years".
Ana Steele + Christian Grey (50 Shades of Grey)-One of the very few love stories that can give twilight a run for its money for how bad it is. This might be the only love story that can possibly be worse than Twilight and that's considered like the worst love story but this one's just as bad.
Goku + Chi-Chi (Dragon Ball)-This is considered one of the worst couples but I personally don't hate it. Many find Chi-Chi bossy and annoying and Goku agreed to marry her but didn't know what a bride was. Well I'd say their relationship worked out as they did have kids together.
Kirino Kousaka + Kyosuke Kasuga (Oreimo)- Once again blood related brother and sister.
Average/Okay/Mixed Reviews couples
These couples have a varied opinions on them. Some love them, some like them, some think they're okay, and others hate them.
Kirito/Kazuto Kasuga + Asuna Yuuki (Sword Art Online)-People seem to either love or hate SAO and I'm kind of in between. Asuna is a neo-tsundere but she changes rather quickly. Kirito and Asuna begin bonding and start to care about each other.
Tenma Tsukamoto + Kenji Harima + Oji Karasuma (School Rumble)-In my opinion this anime is overrated. There's basically a love triangle between in which Kenji likes Tenma while Tenma likes Oji but Oji is uninterested.
Saito Hiraga + Louise Francoise Le Blanc de La Valliere (The Familiar of Zero/Zero no Tsukaima)-There's some pretty mixed opinions about Saito and Louise. Louise is a tsundere so she's initially rude, mean, and even abusive towards Saito but shows feelings for him. Saito doesn't exactly like the situation either but warms up to Louise. We see Louise's true feelings when Saito dies but is resurrected. They end up getting married in the end.
Sesshomaru + Rin (Inuyasha)-When I found out these two had a kid and are official kind of makes me sick given the age difference. Ok Rin did age a little but I still find it disturbing. And yes Inuyasha is chronologically a lot older than Kagome but physically and mentally they're the same age. I really saw this as more of a father-daughter, guardian-child, or big brother-little sister like relationship than an actual couple. While it's an unpopular opinion I always felt Rin was better off with Kohaku.
Ash/Satoshi Ketchum's Love Stories (Pokemon)- I could make an entire post about Ash's love interests. The writers keep taking out one love interest and putting in another for Ash. Personally, I think Serena from XYZ was best for him. I wished they'd just stick with one girl for Ash.
Most popular/best couples
Inuyasha + Kagome Higurashi (Inuyasha)-No one in their right mind would ever forgive me if I made an anime couples list and did not include these two. They don't get along well at first but develop feelings for each other throughout the story. Inuyasha and Kagome will go to the ends of the earth for the other. There are some conflicting ideas of Kagome vs Kikyo. I support Inuyasha and Kagome, but most of the main characters would be dead if it weren't for Kikyo.
Sakura + Syaoran (Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles)-Sakura and Syaoran are childhood friends and have known each other until Sakura loses her memories. Syaoran goes on a jounrey to retrieve Sakura's memories and they fall in love along the way. We see how much Sakura and Syaoran care for each other and how far they are willing to go for one each other. While I liked the anime, I was kind of disappointing they didn't kiss. I know CLAMP knows how to make better endings like in Cardcaptora Sakura, Chobits, and Kobato. They were so obviously in love and I swear they better get married in some future anime/manga or I will go ballistic.\
Sakura Kinomoto + Syaoran Li (Cardcaptor Sakura)(Clear Card)-I could not make a couples list and not include these two especially after including Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles. Sakura and Syaoran are probably one of the cutest anime couples and I like most people just can't get enough of them. Sakura and Syaoran start off as rivals but warm up to each other. Syaoran eventually works the courage to confess to Sakura and Sakura returns her feelings for to Syaoran. They always look out for each other and are just adorable together. The Clear Card manga is still ongoing so I look forward to seeing more precious moments between them.
Usagi Tsukino + Mamoru Chiba (Sailor Moon) (Crystal)-No one would ever forgive me if I made a Valentines Day Couples list and did not include these two. Sailor Moon is by far the most popular magical girl anime. Usagi and Mamoru didn't like each other initally but do come to terms with their feelings. They are the incarnations of Princess Serenity and King Endymion. They break up but then get back together as a stronger couple and we see how much they love and care about each other. Usagi and Mamoru get married in the end.
Rokuro Ena + Benio Adashino (Sousei no Onmyouji/Twin Star Exorcists)-This was a fantastic 2016-17 anime that combined action, supernatural, fantasy, and romantic comedy all in one. Rokuro and Benio aren't thrilled about working together at first. But as they spend more time together they develop feelings for each other and fall in love. They even accept that they will get married as well.
Yuuta Togashi + Rikka Takanashi (Love, Chunibyo, & other Delusions/Chunibyo demo Koi ga Shitai)- This is an anime that starts off looking cute innocent and funny at first but throws you onto an emotional roller coaster later. Yuuta suffered from Chunibyo and Delusions in middle school and found it embarrassing. Yuuta goes to a new high school to try and escape his past where he meets Rikka, who also suffers from Chunibyo and knows about Yuuta's past. It is revealed there are sad and tragic reasons for their delusions. Yuuta and Rikka fall in love and they kiss in the 2018 movie, Take on Me which was just amazing and took their relationship to the next level.
Hodaka Morishima + Hina Amano (Tenki no Ko/Weathering with You)- A masterpiece from Makoto Shinkai. We see their relationship progress throughout the movie as they spend more time together. Hodaka shows how far he'll go at the end of the movie.
Mitsuyoshi Tada + Teresa Wagner/Teresa de Larsenburg (Tada-kun wa Koi wa Shinai/Tada Never Falls in Love)- I really felt for the characters in this one. Teresa is a princess engaged to someone else from her own country of Luxembourg. But she and Tada fall in love. I feel for Tada as pretty much every girl I like has a boyfriend. However after Teresa's fiance calls off the wedding, they are able to come together in a happy ending.
Underrated couples
Nasa Yuzaki + Tsukasa Yuzaki (Tonikaku Kawaii/Tonkikawa: Over the Moon for You)-While this anime isn't exactly a masterpiece it's still enjoyable. After Tsukasa saves Nasa from being hit by a truck and he immediately falls for her. Tsukasa accepts his confession under the agreement they get married. Nasa and Tsukasa spend time together as a married couple and their bond grows stronger.
Firiel Dee + Roux Liskin (The Good Witch of the West/Nishi no Yoki Majo: Astraea Testament)-This is very underrated anime. Firiel finds out she's a royal girl of blood. While she initially sees her younger childhood friend Roux as a younger brother but develop romantic feelings for him and it becomes pretty consistent throughout the anime. Firiel chooses to live a happy life with Roux.
Hauriko Amami + Riko Fukamine (Gift Eternal Rainbow)-I usually don't support incest relationships, but Haruhiko and Riko aren't blood-related and are only brother and sister in name. Haruhiko and Riko were very close as children until Riko has to depart when Haruhiko's dad can no longer support both of them. Later on, Riko returns to be reunited with Haruhiko. They have strong feelings for each other. If you watch the anime, it makes sense why Haruhiko ends up with Riko instead of Kirino, his childhood friend.
Kenji Tomosaka + Nanami Konoe (Lamune)-This was very underrated romance slice of life anime. Kenji and Nanami are childhood friends but are too shy to make advancements in their relationship. However, as they spend time together and with everything they go through, it is obvious they love each other romantically. The ending also packs quite a punch showing how Nanami is lost and lonely without Kenji. But he survives his ordeal the two are able to continue relationship with one another.
Mamoru Yoshimura + Ayako Takasu (Venus to Mamoru/Mamoru Kun ni Megami no Shukofuku wo!)-I love this magical romantic comedy anime. Mamoru, a very short 16-year-old is asked out by Ayako, a older tall girl on his first day of attending a prestigious school. Mamoru is one lucky guy. A short boy ends up with a beautiful popular girl who's top of her class which is the type of love story I crave. I think Mamoru and Ayako deserve more attention so please ship them!
Amane Fujimiya + Mahiru Shiina (The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten/Otonari no Tenshi-sama ni Itsunomanika Dame Ningen ni Sareteita Ken)-I have yet to watch this anime but it looks like something I will like and enjoy. Amane lives next door the most popular girl Mahiru but has never spoken to her until one day he helps her. The two then fall in love.
Athanasia de Alger Obelia + Lucas (Who Made Me a Princess/Mofa gongzhu de xiao fannao)-This anime has yet to come out but I kind of know what it's like because of the manga. Fans are definitely oping for something to happen between Athanasia and Lucas.
Ryuuto Kashima + Runa Shirakawa (Keikenzumi na Kimi to, Keiken Zero na Ore ga, Otsukiai suru Hanashi/Our Dating story: The Experienced You and The Inexperienced Me)- I haven't seen this anime yet but it looks like something I will love. A shy boy Ryuuto has to confess to Runa, as a result of losing a game. Runa is the most popular, beautiful girl at school so Ryuuto is a really lucky guy. The two develop a relationship. I think I will really love this anime because: 1, I want to see more shy boy/popular girl romances and 2, Ryuuto kind of looks like me and Runa kind of resembles my dream girl.
My Story
So now here's the couples from My Story. If you ship them I promise you they will set sail and won't sink (Except both villains and Fahru die).
Takeshi Hachuu + Annabelle "Angel" Ahrimo- Takeshi is the main character so these two are the OTP of the anime. Takeshi is a 16 year old reptile/snake yokai who is mostly introverted, mature, smart, selfless, strong-willed, and protective (A combination of Katniss Everdeen from The Hunger Games and Robin from Teen Titans) and Angel is a 16 year old cat yokai who is very kind, friendly, sweet, selfless, intelligent, and popular in school. Angel makes friends with Takeshi as she feels sorry for him seeing him alone. Takeshi and Angel share their secrets and feelings for one another despite that Reptiles and Cats are supposed to be enemies. Both come to terms with how to accept their identies and fate. Takeshi had suffered the death of his father and years of discrimination while Angel always thought she was the only one. They show how much they deeply and truly care about each other and are always there for one another throughout the story. Angel is willing to stand up for Takeshi and is really supportive of him. Both cannot bear to see the other one sad or hurt. To Angel Takeshi's happiness is her happiness and to Takeshi, Angel's happiness is his happiness. Takeshi is not afraid to to protect Angel or anyone else he loves even if it means the cost his own life. Takeshi comes to terms and realizes it's the first time since his father's death that he hasn't felt sad, lonely, or depressed and is happy and stronger with Angel by his side. With every challenge and obstacle they face, Takeshi and Angel only get stronger together. Takeshi strives to fulfill his father's dying wish and Angel helps him every step of the way.
Taro Hachuu + Nina Moriko-Takeshi and Angel may be the OTP, but Taro and Nina are a very close second. Taro, age 14, younger brother of Takeshi who is also a reptilian/snake yokai. He is initally short-tempered and vengeful. Nina, age 14, is Taro's childhood friend and a owl yokai of Russian and Japanese decent and is spunky and vein, yet caring as well. And yes she is a tsundere too! They stay by each others side despite that Reptiles and Owls are supposed to be enemies. At first, they argue a lot and try to hide their feelings but realize how much they really mean to each other and need each other and care about one another. Nina has suffered the loss of both her parents and Taro suffered through the death of his father. Both want to fulfill what their parents wishes and realize that they are no longer sad, lonely, or depressed, and are happy and stronger by each other's side. Much like many couples, Taro and Nina cannot bear to see the other one hurt or sad and are brought joy by the other's happiness. They face many obstacles and challenges in their relationship but always come out stronger than before.
Ren Hachuu + Fahru Hachuu-Ren and Fahru are the mother and father of Takeshi and Taro. Fahru is a reptilian/snake yoaki, while Ren is an ordinary human. These two are kind of star-crossed lovers. Their parents each accepted each other while society didn't. The fact that a reptilian and ordinary human are married was more reason they were targeted. Nevertheless they didn't care what others thought. They were deeply in love with each other and went to great lengths for one another and they started a family which made them stronger. Fahru was willing to risk anything for his family and finally lost his life protecting those he loved the most. Ren strives to fulfill her promise and Fahru's dying wish and continues to raise her two boys as a single mother well.
Conclusion
That's about it for this year's V-Day post. I really can't believe it's 2024 and while I always say the same thing over and over again here it is. Getting plastered on Valentines Day as I'm single and lonely.

My Story: The Eclipse
Finally, I have access to personal computer now. I can continue with My Story.
Opening
A solar eclipse is coming up and Angel is excited to see it. However, Takeshi knows Kyofusho may use this time when everyone is distracted to take another step in his plan.
Summary
With a solar eclipse coming up, it is the perfect time for Kyofusho to hatch his plan and use a gem to cast darkness over the world if he gets access to it. They hatch a plan so they can still watch the eclipse but keep an eye our for the villains. When the day comes everyone is outside looking out for the eclipse while waiting for it to arrive. Suddenly Sova starts making a call that grabs Nina's attention. When the moon is fully over the sun. The area suddenly turns pitch black then a dim light appears where Kyofusho arrives. Takeshi and Taro arm themselves and attempt to fight him off. Kyofusho has used the power of a gem to block out any sunlight but Takeshi and Taro manage to snatch it from him restoring the daylight.
Ending
As the sunlight returns Kyofusho is nowhere to be found. The gang know he is still at large and must continue to be on the lookout for him and his allies. Takeshi looks up and promises his father they will one day defeat Kyosuho.
Overview
So it's been awhile since I posted something from My Story so I had to do a quick one for now. Next month is February and we all know what that means.
